In this video, I take a look at the June 18th, 2024 update. Let's explore if all our speedrun skips have been preserved, the new costumes and other small but great changes.
Edit: I forgot to mention that the light skip still works too! Right before the big outdoor turret section in Spire.

Aside from the obvious, it's those little quality of life additions that I appreciate. I tend to change Eve's hair alot, so this is nice.

Defeating Raven on Hard deserves like, a wedding dress or an actual physical statue of EVE. It's too much.

Being able to change her hair whenever is such a nice change. Also cyber magician was one of my favorite outfits so that pretty awesome we're getting a grren variation now

Raven(Hard) was kicking my butt up and down the arena I got her though I kind of wish we could earn the *final* suit in the game

- A mini map would've been cool. - More colors and styles for hair. - Sparring mode with an enemy or enemies of your choice and set them with infinite life or not.

For fucks sake, 3 hours to defeat raven in hard mode even when I am maxed out with the best items in game. Dem one shot skills out of nowhere all the time. This boss challenge is so idiotic. Zero beta - Zero Burst when during the game you would never go face a boss with zero resources.

Wait... There are save slots?! Since when?! You can't actually save in game!

You can get save slots by starting a new game then quitting game as soon as you get to control Eve (rinse and repeat). By doing that you create slots but it can only be done with New Game not NG+ as far as I'm aware.

Yes you're right there's no saving besides the autosaves. Since release if you create a new game it starts it as a separate save file. The max is 5 slots, so if you start another new game after having 5 you must overwrite one

Do you know about the speedrun skip in eidos 9 where if you time your jump right you can jump from the red roller coaster to the grey one which will land you on the roof closer to the coaster leading you to the end of the map with the secret garden house?

I got the Cyber Illusionist Suit today. Raven on hard mode is tough! …but managed it on the second try (my first hard boss, I‘m only on normal mode). The tank build and my many potions saved me. The Neurolink Suit is great as well!

@@ManyPeregrine81 I used the defense and reflex exospine (MK2) as well as the modifications: 3 star shield boost MK2 (450 more shield), 3 star protection MK2 (12 % overall protection), the 3 star combat protection MK2 (18% combat protection) + it’s 2 star MK2 predecessor.

If I'm start new game not the plus does it will overwritten current save data ?

Hello, it will create a new save file and not overwrite anything, unless you've used all 5 save slots already. But if that happens, it prompts you that you have to overwrite one, so no worries!

I'm at the nest camp now so can't just go to Roxanne unless start another run and finish eidos 7, wish that's a chapter select or save load file option. I barely beat raven on normal, not sure if I could beat her on hard lol.. I already Plat by doing 3 runs too, eng, jpn, and Korean, so probably won't start another until they add photo mode

Yeah that's a good suggestion, or some kind of free roam mode you could load your save into after beating the game. Just to make the side quests and shops accessible again. Congrats on the platinum! I hope to finish mine soon

Wait, I admittedly haven't been keeping up, and was surprised at the beginning of the video seeing you select a save. We can load saves now? Since when?

Hi Pownchao! yeah we still can't make manual saves or anything, but every time you start a New Game, it makes a separate save for you. So those are all separate playthroughs. The maximum is still 5 saves

@@halfwaytillbliss oh, I see. Thanks for the clarification! I planned to revisit this game after some more quality of life changes, which they seem to be doing. Still have two other endings and a platinum trophy I want to get, but yeah this game is only looking better! I've since taken a detour after rolling credits (I got into Splatoon right after this lol) but I haven't forgotten about the game, and will hopefully platinum it before the year ends.

But we can't erase a single save game, right? Love the game, but this is a big oversight. And the outfit for Raven hard is disappointing. We already had this in two variants. There are way better outfits already in the game we don't have (Tachy, Eve/Adam/Mothersphere minions). But some good changes at least.

@@halfwaytillbliss in ng+ after the solar tower is activated a new track plays(my favorite track) then dissappears after you leave the wasteland or quit the game. Only happens on ng+

I just jumped into my NG++ save with solar tower active and it did give me the correct alternative song

I just did a second NG+ run, and both wastelands and great desert play the post solar tower themes from the very beginning. So, no, the bug wasn't fixed, but you do get the themes back on the next game.

It would be nice, if there is an option to avoid the point of no return. I don't want create a completly new safegame, because I like to keep my stuff

It would be nice to be able to change outfits, hairstyles, and accessories in Boss Challenge mode without going to the game. That would be a nice qol feature.

I found out that starting a new game will reset BOSS CHALLENGE! My first save still has the Nano Suit from completing all Normal Boss's & Raven on Hard Now I have to complete all of Normal and Raven Hard again it must be a glitch! I reloaded my first save game it didn't bring back my BOSS CHALLENGE progress. Just letting other gamer's know.

It is kind of frustrating that they won't do something about the healing animation. I understand they are trying to make it fancy stylish having eve flip it then crush it in her hand but man it's too slow and bosses quickly go in for attack before she can even heal herself And that's how slow it is. You can't even animation canceled
