This will mostly effect higher skill players doing careful timings on Tower rush etc. As a new player if you had not been told about it in the notes you might not have even noticed it. I think you will be fine.

Rus is my main civ. It didn't change much. It just takes ten seconds longer to build a hunting cabin. That's a minor nurf that you probably won't even notice.

Thats because the top 50 players on console (like me) dont have enough competition. So, we sit in que for 5+ minutes every time and typically get paired against new/low level players. With the increased player base, odds are that high level players will get skill based matchmade out of your lobbies and into some actual competition.

@@garywilbanks7236 I think everyone sits in Q for 5 mins. I’m new to the game and already sit in the Q for atleast 5 mins😅 and keep getting paired against gold-diamond players🤦‍♂️ ain’t no’s way

@iiRaWDaWG i think alot of the low level players get pushed off console by the low player base, making even less entry-level competition.

@iiRaWDaWG i get paired against people regularly that are so awful that ill be castle pushing them with a whole army while the poor saps are still early feudal/dark age with no army. Mind boggling tbh

@@garywilbanks7236 well so far I’ve found early feudal aggression builds work best for me. I really struggle if I can’t end the game in the first 15 mins💀 and as a new player it’s worked pretty wel considered I’m doing it with the french

Feudal samurai are pretty mediocre so that seems fine

Without these Japanese would be helpless against archer spam

Why would you nerf feudal samurai? They're pretty useless compared to Onna's in feudal.

@@agnosticpanda6655 really? haven't played japanese in a while but I used to 1TC feudal all in and the ability of samurai to dive and pretty much ignore TC fire seemed really good to me. Their vills would all be garrisoned and I'd just pump out more samurai faster than they could kill them. Heard a couple of my friends played a team game recently where they lost like that too. Not like it's super OP, cause a lot of things still kill them, but they really dont' seem useless.

Anything is possible at lower elo. Like myself I like French who’s one of the most under played civs at higher elos. French knight rush in feudal is amazing at lower ranks.
