I think the most relieving part about his paternity results is that when he files for divorce, he can verify all the kids are his and have a better chance at getting custody.

He can if their state is a at fault state. So states like those can make you lose court battles when it comes to divorce courts. Basically if your getting a divorce and your partner cheated, you will most likely get custody unless the child isn’t yours or any other reason you can’t legally take the child.

They had the gall to go to court and lie. Well, after the child psychologist and the court counselor testified on my behalf, judge wasn't too pleased to award me custody. He saddled me with excessive child and spousal support payments, which I got back at the end of the year in tax refunds. A year later my home county court in a small town in Texas terminated any and all payments issued by the California Court. Which had violated the Texas court's jurisdiction regarding spousal support. So, the Texas court assumed original jurisdiction in the divorce/child custody case.

She had mental health problems though, which is one if the reasons she knew she couldn't properly take care of me. It was a hard decision for her. Unfortunately she committed scuicide 2 years ago. My brother who was also adopted from a different family, does have some abandonment issues though. But hes been able to work through them. I love my family and feel truly blessed and lucky to have been adopted and loved by my amazing parents.
