Diablo 4 full release is season 3. They forced a early release to try get more out of the Microsoft deal. Hopefully Microsoft eventually do take over because the head of xbox seems like a decent guy. Microsoft also will give the devs the time they need to finish the product and not only focus on shareholders

Diablo releases in season 3 and unlike d3 they have incentive to make it better this time. PoE is for gamers who have a lot of time on their hands.

That stuff is just there if you have some more time or want to play for longer, but you can play PoE perfectly fine even if you only play 1 hour per day or even just 1 hour every second day. Will you reach elder or shaper? Probably not, but who cares? A game having a lot of content isn't a downside you moron 😂 That's like saying going to an "all you can eat" restaurant sucks because you feel like you have to empty the entire restaurant of food. You don't. Pick what you like, eat it, and leave when you had enough. Only ate 2 out of 20 different food items? As long as it was tasty that's enough.

It's even more impressive considering Grinding Gear Games only has 129 employees (according to Google) vs. Blizzards 9000+ that worked on D4.

@XpVersusVista I meant it as a positive, as a game PoE has more to offer but with Diablo you can achieve a lot with limited time or when you have a week where you can put more time in. Problem with D4 is the difficulty between uber lilith and tier 100 NM is pretty insane. Lilith is certainly the hardest thing I have done in any arpg but then everything else is pretty easy really. Guessing torment 5 will also come in S3

It moves like a gorilla in most of its attacks which is weird. They coulda looked at how actual big ole brown bears move and simulated that rather than a bear rampaging around like a gorilla.

It takes a bunch of different professionals making a good game. You would not be able to make one only having a team of programmers

The fact that games even exist would be mystery to you. Game programming is the hardest of them all btw and the most time consuming, one of the only high paid professions that only 1 out of 100 programmers would ever even consider. Or you can sell out and go work for blizzard and design loot boxes. Art, music and all other stuff is just icing on the code.

Weird I am a programmer and working in the game industry is considered to be a nightmare. Overworked and underpaid.

Even then, it's Poe, you can probably do a spell caster bear form build or a human druid that do slams (marauder class slams).

I made a post about this in beta and got ratio'd, the playerbase really do consist of glue eaters. Myself included because I bought the game in hopes it would be an improvement over D3.

@@snaker9er Cat form will, as far as I know, be exclusive to the Beastmaster ascendancy for the Huntress class (or could be the ranger class, if they decide to shuffle ascendancies around).

@sadwaifu To each their own, but it's the most impressive and immersive arpg I've played so far. Handcrafted open-world instead of repetitive random tile-sets. Great atmospheric music. Great voice acting, fun gameplay. Just needs a bit more end-game activities, but it already has way more to do than D3 did at launch.

i would say that it's a shallow prototype of what's coming, warcries is the same mechanic with different bonuses but they were used only to apply to one big hit. It's similar if you would play witch and had 3 elemental versions of fireball and cast them one by one. It's wouldn't be a one button but I wouldn't call it combo

​​@@antonpazharytski8497 The meta gems will come in handy for that. Cast on Critical Cast While Channeling There's probably a cast on shock/fire/cold somewhere too. So you could essentially become a true elementalist. Casting fireballs that stacks up a shock bolt that shocks the enemy and in turn increase your cold skill and vice versa. The synergies are possibly endless. The fact you can select which weapon from loadout cast a skill can make that a dream come true. So you could do a Fire-Shock weapon and a Shock-Cold weapon

​@@captaincrum1their plan is to remove the need of using different currencies in a vendor. So you don't have do to a merry'go'round between currencies to buy one thing, so now you could straight up get what you want, as long as you have the gold.

this is just the showcase, real gameplay will be much faster like at least twice as fast, but not as fast as poe 1 i think.

I highly doubt PoE will be more slow paced than Diablo. Character animations are top tier in D4 though, as they were in D3. That is one area where they actually are better than their competition. Credit where credit is due.

That's true for a lot of the campaign and early-mid maps. But a lot of the endgame builds have stacked defenses such that one hit kills are the only thing left that can kill you. I've had a jugg where most attacks did like 10 of my 6k health and I had like 1,800 regen + leech.
