This boss gives me chills. More so than most of the things in this game... Just the noises it makes.. like it's in maddening agony and yet driven to destroy you

Just killed this boss and it really surprised me how electronic/industrial this theme was, the game didn't have any music like this before this boss. Sometimes it sounds like something from a Devil May Cry game, amazing!

Amazing Bossfight, but hard as balls. You really need to stack some resistances for this one. Also it helps not playing alone...Having atleast 2 people alongside you really helps you dealing with the adds...Yeah, the HP scale etc. but it's still easier IMO.

I hope that 4.0's expansion will make the old bosses relevant again. But maybe I'm the only one who feels this way as most people just want to level as fast as they can to begin mapping.

That Vaal son of......, killed my Hardcore Ranger (28 lvl), which i trained her from one of Blood Magic races during Season 5. Only 1 shot remained to kill him.. but he was faster with laser. And then Ranger was grounded to Standard League (sigh).... should i continue playing with her or screw it and try to create another char? Is there any benefits finishing this on Standard, besides unlocking Scion?

Vaal Oversoul, a boss that was indirectly nerfed to the ground. The nerf in question is GGG fixing lag (which they for some reason called desync).

I trashed this boss on most of the characters I played, except the Shadow for some reason. It was easiest with the Totem Witch though, that is such a cheesy build :P

+Pyromage Ranger, Normal and Cruel with no problems. Haven't been to Merciless yet. And I'm a softcore glassy build that dies easily... but to _other_ stuff. Melee builds are probably at a disadvantage, though, since they need to constantly watch out for the slam. It's easier to avoid as ranged.

Not really, I have a potato of a laptop that can just barely play this at around 20-30 fps and I had a groundslam build and I could still dodge its telegraphed slam attack. I can even boast that I've not died _once_ to it in all three difficulties (Before the Fall of Oriath update took away the difficulties) The winding up sound effect helps let you know, too.
