Thanks for the tutorial. I noticed that spotlights that are contained in blueprints are not evaluated when using pathtracer.. is this expected behaviour? If i add a normal spotlight in the scene it shows with pathtracer on, of course.. but those that are in blueprint components do not show. Any ideas?

I've seen your UE4 Artstation series and that series is one of the main reason I've switched from Unity to Unreal and just when I started to play with it UE 5 came out! I'm so excited to create a viz of my own. If its not a hassle for you, could you make a tutorial about setting up ArchViz related materials? Mainly fabric, though I'll be happy with whatever tutorials I get from you :) Thanks

Superb presentation. I looked for key to path traced still images for long time. Could you be so kind and show settings for final quality. 250 in antialiasing is it all or you tweak more settings ?
@WesselHuizenga
@WesselHuizenga Жыл бұрын
Thank you Krzysztof! it is really that simple! for this image i used those settings. A lot of the times things get overcomplicated for no reason.. If you want you could, in the console commands, at a sharpness tone-mapper and increase the screen-percentage. If you are rendering with path tracer I could recommend not to do that as it takes forever. you can get a better quality from vray within that time! You will find it under console variables: docs.unrealengine.com/4.26/en-US/AnimatingObjects/Sequencer/Workflow/RenderAndExport/HighQualityMediaExport/Reference/

Hello. What do you mean by "network reasons"? I assume you have an issue where videos on Artstation just won't play, in this case I might help. Videos on Artstation are DRM-controlled and in some browsers you might need to change the settings (e.g. in Firefox check "Play DRM-controlled content")

By using Spatial sample count 90 and temporal sample count 90, how long does it take to render? I use SSC 670 and TSC 10 = 6700 sample it took me 15 mins to render my scene. I do not know if it is normal. By the way, I am new to the path tracing feature. I am using RTX 3050

I've noticed when I switch to path tracing mode it looks more overexposed than in Lit mode (Lumen) using the same exposure setting in post. Is this normal or exposure level works differently for each Lumen and Path tracing? Thanks
@WesselHuizenga
@WesselHuizenga Жыл бұрын
There is a big difference between lumen and rtx/pathtracing. Lumen is software based while the latter is hardware based. With hardware we are able to achieve better results. The light calculation might be different because of that. Lumen is still under development and doesn’t work that great for interior projects yet. To boost light, placing rectangle lights in front of windows helps!
