Patient Dies In a Trapped Elevator! | Saving Hope

Күн бұрынA record-breaking heatwave has hit the city causing a power cut at Hope Zion, which traps Maggie and Joel in the elevator with a dialysis patient.
From Season 2 Episode 7 "Bed One": When a heatwave hits the city, Alex is appointed Trauma Team Leader, as Hope Zion is faced with an increase of patients during the blackout. The power cuts out, so, Dawn and Charlie must figure out a way to continue their surgery. Meanwhile, Joel and Maggie are stuck in the elevator with a dialysis patient and are struggling to keep him alive.

I am not really surprised that the lift may not be functioning, but why the lift top was sealed?

I think what happened is beyond their control. If you listen they said there was a fire that even fried the backup generators which in turn affects the entire hospital I do agree that it shouldn't have been locked & they should have secondary backup generators for this kind of situation or a manual operation system for emergencies like this

I'm not positive but I feel like life support machines would have a back up battery for situations like this

Well, that's a little different. The hospital has back up battery to sustain most of the necessary functioning machines like OR, life support system etc as long as they are plugged in. The problem here is, Rowdy is distached and trapped in a lift. My question would be why the lift top was sealed?

@@marikatemoore5110 I totally understand. But normally, those elevator in hospital would have an emergency exit (like top wouldn't be sealed).
