3:16 - "home of the 45 second minute"! Man had a perfect grasp on his demographics! Very underrated actor, done in just like my other hero, Rod Serling. Both died from complications brought on by adult years of smoking. Thanks for posting this video. 🌎🇵🇷😉

"you sure got a lot of stale old stuff down here" haha, I grew up on Ernest, the commercials, the show, and the movies. how many shows does somebody's tongue tell you what something tastes like. Ernest was great, innovate, original and funny as hell without being brain dead (Yo gabba gabba) and over vulgar (crotch shots) of today's cartoons and live action kid shows. RIP Mr.Varney, you are missed.

I just thought, how crazy would it have been for him to depose the pope for a day? Like "your world as I see it", in latin, and some Ernest hijinx mixed in. Perhaps the pope giving mass and recognizing Jim for Sainthood shortly after? Catholics giving the long chants with each phrase... "Ya-kno----O---w what I mean Vern?"
