Patrice is one of the most stand-up humans you'll ever encounter...from day 1 when he was 18 yrs old he's been nothing but class on the Bruins. He's a role model not only for athletes but how to handle yourself as a man -and he's one of the best 2 way centers to ever play! When he's done playing, his # will hang in the rafters for as long as the lights are on in that building. He's as legendary to the Bruins as Bobby Orr and Ray Bourque.

Yes - Patrice certainly was born with a silver hockey spoon in his mouth.. very different than a lot of other players who had to struggle to get there. The amount of support he's gotten over the course of his life and career? He doesn't really have a lot to complain about!

What's wrong with the statement? Why is it that one or another of us is correct - both can be true Anyone who becomes a professional athlete is going to work their butt off.. yet there's a big difference between Bergie and a lot of these other scrappers who didn't come from privilege, I happen to know cuz I've done a ton of fundraising to get top hockey players on the ice.. maybe you have no idea how much time and effort that takes. Hockey is an extremely dangerous sport - it's not like baseball where you can just grab someone else's glove or bat... equipment to keep kids safe is outrageously expensive. It keeps top talent from even being able to try. Brad marchand takes a lot of heat for how he had to fight his way into the NHL. I lived about 3- 4 hours north of where he grew up... Very different than Patrice. Tough working class people in a harsh climate right on the Bay of Fundy It's not an ignorant comment - have you lived in Canada? They have a caste system between City people and not. Prime minister is very arrogant toward country folk & Canucks But there's absolutely no reason both of our statements can't be true One of you could have astutely asserted- Evidently, Bergie had male role models showing him how to be a man - Obviously, Mitch Miller did not. It's like people talk about rich versus poor, it doesn't make a difference? Yet ask anybody who's been both rich and poor, It's much easier complaining when you're rich than when poor! I don't understand why you're attacking a true statement? I'm not attacking yours.

@@nickpeterson1778 yeah he sounds like a hockey player. Patrice Bergeron was brought up in a nice home, privileged, son of a Canadian bureaucrat social worker. And it is often been said that all Patrice Bergeron did was sleep constantly in his youth hockey days. Lucky boy. Supportive family, didn't have to work for his gear, hockey career handed to him... That would be an unusual hockey player. I simply don't throw young people away in the trash And I've worked with social workers. I lived in Canada. I don't like them. They're the most pathetic injured victims that never were, and nothing but government bureaucrats. The Canadian government technically owns the children. Patrice's mother would be one of the people deciding whether a child gets assisted suicide... The government owns the children so they decide. I think I'd rather take my chances with Mitch, than Patrice Bergeron's mother. She hurts a lot more people than any hockey player could

I am a Bruins fan and Bergeron has been my idol for 20 years (so sad he is gone!!) but battling Toronto is always my favorite because of how talented your team is and it is such a fun rivalry. When it came to this decision by Bruins management, I hated it. They chose wrong, corrected it but that doesn't take the sting out and the bad taste. Bergeron standing up for what actually is important means so much to me, it's partly why I love him (his on-ice game was so classy too), but to hear a Leafs fan say the same reminds me of what is most important. You and I peacefully 'fight' each game day, but first and foremost, we both are humans and I love you Stranger! Your comment to this video meant a lot and I respect you for it.

It's a leaked juvenile record that was supposed to be sealed - we're never going to actually know the facts because the target's mother can come out and say anything she wants, but by law he cannot cite any facts of the case to defend himself He has a pretty major lawsuit against both the NHL and that mother - but I'm guessing he's not going to go near it. And at this point, with the reputation that he's been given? Even if he makes a team in Europe those players are going to beat the tar out of him I'm so sorry that hockey is over for this kid - there's too many teen boys struggling with similar issues, who don't get out of bed unless they have hockey. What's even more disturbing is that juvenile records are absolutely sealed when these boys go after their parents - there's so many teen boys beating up their single mothers, but you're never going to know that statistic because they're keeping those records sealed

Growing up all my anti-bullying public speakers at school were big bullies throughout their childhood. I personally believe Miller isn't the same person he was when he was kid. You can't participate in 6+ programs encompassing anti-bullying and helping those with disabilities just to be the same asshole he was when he started. They didn't toss him out the first time they found this out - they left him on the trading block You can't really get into vetting a player unless you sign them at entry level - you're basically buying the rights to vet them Juvenile records are supposed to be sealed - so when anything leaks out, you're not getting the full story I am curious... If Mitch were applying for a job at mcdonald's, would this mother go running to the McDonald's manager's office door to stop him from flipping burgers? I doubt it. As a matter of fact - she violated the court order of a juvenile record - she set herself up for a lawsuit As well as the NHL. Oh the things I could tell you about 12- 14-year-old boys that would make you cringe.

That should have happened immediately, if it was going to happen. Juvenile records are sealed - Mitch has one hell of a lawsuit and i would support it at this point. If this supposedly went on for years that means they're judging him on 10/11 year old behavior - how did the adults allow this to go on "for years"? Something doesn't smell right all around. But here comes the media, this could affect ticket sales... Everybody running hide! It's okay that the USA has the highest suicide rates of males 18 - 45 years old since the depression.. as long as the woke crowd is happy And we've got a new whipping post for bullying - a 10 year old kid 😄 Yeah - he was busy planning his Halloween costume to go trick or treating, writing his Christmas list to sit on Santa's lap - and plotting out how he was going to torture this other kid for his life... It was all his grand plan - he even talked to Santa Claus about it sitting on his lap 🙄

Yeah sealed juvenile record? - first of all he couldn't reach out to the family while they were minors because that would violate the conditions of his sentencing By law, he still can't point to any facts in the case - what the mother did technically violates the court order Why would any decent parent allow their children to take this type of abuse "for years"? As I've said another comments, when my kid was getting bullied and clobbered at public School? I took down firewood for heat, scrapped metal - did everything I needed to to come up with private school tuition to get him the hell out... I didn't sit there for years watching my kid take that abuse and then try to put through a lawsuit to cash in on it? Nobody cared about my kids skin color until 2012 - suddenly every teacher in the school every social worker was knocking at our door.. they're the ones pointing out race, nobody else gave a damn Who the hell would allow their child to take this level of abuse FOR YEARS?

That was back in the day where juvenile records were actually sealed! This kid might have some major lawsuits... He's probably wise enough not to go through with them. The woke crowd doesn't pick on people their own size - they're going after 10 - 12-year-old behavior.. never questioning the adults who allowed this to go on "FOR YEARS"? The couch potatoes who can't even bend over to lace up skates are satisfied now.. they're working on their next bowl of Doritos Of course Patrice should be the epitome of hockey - he grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth - he didn't have to struggle to pay for skates, ice time or gas money to get to practice? With all due respect to the man - I'd rather hear from a street fighter hockey player.. more typical, someone who didn't have it that good. I lived a few hours north of where Brad grew up - talk about tough area? Very different upbringing than Prince Patrice. The tricks of the trade he needed to use to get to the NHL would have him booted out of the league by now! We count on witnessing puberty on ice - 90 second explosions of energy... With all due respect to patrice, I would really rather hear from someone who's been in the trenches. Struggled Someone who didn't grow up having season tickets to the Nordiques

Between trick-or-treating and sitting on Santa's lap, he was attending KKK meetings! I think the mother should get parent of the Year award - for allowing her child to take this abuse FOR YEARS! A lot of foster parents have this phenomena illness called "munchauser by proxy syndrome".. I think someone should be looking into that with this woman They get attention from their children being abused and/or sick. They often set it up, allow it to happen. It's their currency. Who in the hell would allow a child to take this type of abuse "for years"? One of my kids was getting bullied and clobbered, I got him the hell out of the school... Skipped a lot of meals to do it, I didn't sit around waiting for social workers to save my kids education and look after his safety That would be the parent's job

Kyrie is a racist piece of shit and promoted anti Jewish material on his social media. He loses his Nike deal but still gets to collect 40 million dollars from his Jewish owner. That man is willing to pay that garbage a salary to play basketball and there was no one calling for Kyrie to be tossed from the league. @@killachinchilla9445 oh I have a feeling if he were football player and Tom Brady picked him up? this concerned mother, who let this go on for years, would be hiring a lawyer to sue the pants off of Brady. Unfortunately, hockey is one of the poorest professional sports We're still not as woke as those sports, we're fighting it to not get there. I'm an ole Bobby Orr, Cheever's, Esposito, big bad bruins fan - I remember being amazed hearing two or three different languages spoken by teammates on the same team back in the late sixties early seventies By the eighties you could have a team of players speaking five different languages. We don't care where you came from or what your skin color was half and we wanted to see what you could do on the ice That's what matters in hockey Definitely the most inclusive sport on the planet Never saw that in any other sport, still don't But remember, these are internet people - not sports fans, certainly not athletes - they sit on couches, most of them can't see over their bellies to lace up skates And they're watching bruins games on their mama's cable account Don Sweeney came right out in the press conference and said he wasn't comfortable with this situation - after Arizona rescinded his contract, why didn't the NHL and Bettman pull him off the trading block then? I got one name for you that will reveal the hypocrisy of this entire NHL - George Parros, the head of the player safety committee He ended his career basically concussing himself, falling down in a fight -losing his balance, nobody hit him he was known as an enforcer his best statistics are his penalty minutes And he's the one bringing in over $32 million a year fining players?! Somehow I think the Bruins were set up to take the fall for this guy - there's no reason he should have been on the NHL trading block after Arizona His stats are phenomenal - of course someone was going to pick him up to play hockey - Like Brady & AB- they'd be a fool not to try. The kids hockey career is over - any team he plays on or against are going to bash him to the boards for the reputation he's been given for things he did when he was 10 years old I hope he moves to Timbuktu, some place where they don't have ice nor hockey so he can live in peace I have a feeling, if this disabled kid's mother doesn't get a payday out of the nhl? she will be following him to Timbuktu I'm going to politely ask you to never compare hockey to NBA nor NFL again.. don't take us that low I don't compare myself to cockroaches, they're not allowed in the same paragraph as Hockey. - thank you Just stand by your convictions - I was the idiot people were bashing when I stood up for Jake debruske, David backes and Krejci... Chara clearly wanted Cassidy gone - I supported that... And I knew ullmark was going to become top goalie in the nhl.. sabres fans told me, I was absolutely blown away by his highlights -but nobody listened. And here is Linus, after the massive disrespect he took last season I was also a wannabe goalie skills coach, so I saw what goalie Bob was going to coach. And I stood by linus, even though I'm in the 49th with the Sway-man. Ullmark has been carrying the bruins since he first came in. NHL just announced last week that he has been number one goalie in the NHL since November 2021 And bruins fans are still not getting it!? So you got to have a spine to be a fan of this sport. Go B's!
