In this episode, the celebrities must hold their nerve as they attempt to complete yoga stances on a tiny beam, which is suspended hundreds of feet above a frozen waterfall. They then attempt their scariest challenge so far - swimming underneath a frozen lake.
In copy: Please don’t try this yourselves everyone! Our group had safety and medical checks.

I've been in ice water, but swimming under ice in ice water has to be terrifying. Good on Patrice for setting limits and not being afraid to say no. We need to understand our limits and not always feel the need to prove ourselves or put others first.

People who are confused - Patrice came for a slightly different reason. To prove to himself. He doesn't know his own limits before this. The fact that he knew that his limit was simply jumping in, meant a win for him.

okay...i don't want to workout tomorrow, because i cant be arsed, even though it is healthy for me...this is not what we should be encouraging. yes, it is important to be able to say no when you feel pressured to do something because of peer pressure. but we should not be encouraging people to say no, becuase they want to push their limits. otherwise, humans would have never summitted everest, would have never landed on the moon, would have never made serious medical advances. these all cam from very ambitious people who were willing to push themselves to the limit. patrice became a great footballer because he pushed himself to the limit and beyond.

When he said I feel Free Today, it was so moving. A lot of us push our limit . We compare ourselves to others and try to work harder to win. A lot of people were taught that we should work harder to succeed and push our limit . But if we continue pushing our limit, we might sick mentally or physically, or might sacrifice relationships or might make some other sacrifices . We need to take care of and be kind to ourselves first , otherwise, we can't be kind to others.

This is so inspiring! Growing up there's always this kind of peer pressure to prove oneself is stronger than the rest not knowing that it causes some mental harm to oneself. The disease to please is one of them. But the power to say "No" is actually underrated. It needs to raise awareness that's it's OK to say no for yourself. There is absolutely no shame in it. And that is what this man has demonstrated. Bravo!!!

what a joke. are we seriously celebrating people not pushing their limits? yes, it is important to say 'no' when you don't want to do something, but feel peer pressure to do it. but peer pressure is not what made him get in the water. what made him get in the water was his innate desire to push his limits. that is probably what got him so far in life and it is something we should encourage.

The DEEP (2014) was a film i saw and it stays with you - quote - The drama tells the true 1984 story of a young fisherman, Gudlaugur (Gulli) Fridthorsson, who survived for six hours in the freezing North Atlantic after his trawler capsized. A brief set-up introduces us to Gulli (Olafur Darri Olafsson), an overweight, cherub-faced man in his early 20s who lives with his parents on one of the remote Westman Islands off the southern coast of Iceland. - end quote the film shows him swimming to a coast he cannot see in the dark? He swam and his fellow fishermen did not last in the cold waters for minutes? he gives his boots to the captain, who dies. and later he has to walk up a rough terrain to get to a remote house? its a tale of extreme survival. the scientists and locals think he made it up? that nobody can survive six hours in those conditions. but they test him next to navy seal types, in a lab setting, he is basically immune to the cold? he was pretty heavy, carrying fat. So he was saved by being obese. its a really good film.
