Patrice would have been 47 today.. I chose to post this on his birthday rather than his death anniversary because true legends don't die they live on forever.. Happy birthday P

@@ilovemikerogers He didn't have to be funny, he knew how to control the crowd and the comics on stage. He knew how to segway and had timing down pat in general. His job wasn't to roast, but to host.

If he were still alive, we'd be blessed to have Netlix throw a huge pile of money for him to put a special on their platform. Dude's wit is so quick and spontaneous, it takes everyone a few seconds to even process the joke. That's why the laughs are sometimes delayed. He could have watered down his talent and made it simpler for us common folk but the dude was too rough and authentic to be tamed. A comic's comic as Bill Burr would say.

You hear a lot about having an open dialogue about race. But in reality, it's a minefield. When Patrice talks about race, he's open, honest and not angry. He's quite funny too, but he really cuts to the point on issues. That's what I liked about him.

Are the 2 most naturally funny people to ever walk this earth, of course no disrespect to the legendary greats like Murphy, Pryor, Foxx etc but there’s something about P. O’Neal & Dave C. That just feels like you’re chillin on the yard before school starts back in the days. No matter what they talk about they find away to make you crack a smile or crack up hysterically & still one way another there’s a moment where they enlighten you with some perspective you’ve never thought about. Love to hear them talk forever and ever real talk! 🙌🏼🙏🏼
