Patrice would have been 47 today.. I chose to post this on his birthday rather than his death anniversary because true legends don't die they live on forever.. Happy birthday P

Yeah that’s exactly how it feels when I watch. I am SOOOOO curious on what he would be saying about all the weird shit going in these days. I would pay a lot of money if it would give me the ability to listen to Patrice go on a long 2 hour rant about everything happen between 2016-present day.

i truly believe Pat would've been a mega star in the podcast/political commentary world. he was already ahead of his time with going against the grain with his opinion and views and his unapologetic and brash yet well informed approach with his few appearances he did on TV. the Black Phillip Show was Foxxhole (Jamie Foxx) and the 5150 Show (Corey Holcolm) a full decade before they did it as far as being a "relationship show for men"..he'd be a huge player in the internet radio/podcast space..and with the climate of today's politics..Patrice's honest and logical approach would have garnered him alot of attention. on top of his stand up being top notch..eventually one of his specials would have "blown up" also..

He’s a translator. He’s sees and hears what people are trying to do and translates it into comedy. He notices the exact moment there’s tension when people aren’t being accurate and getting each other and he translates that shit. He was so funny because everything he said was true in the moment. It’s why he shines more in these settings than straight standup.

If he were still alive, we'd be blessed to have Netlix throw a huge pile of money for him to put a special on their platform. Dude's wit is so quick and spontaneous, it takes everyone a few seconds to even process the joke. That's why the laughs are sometimes delayed. He could have watered down his talent and made it simpler for us common folk but the dude was too rough and authentic to be tamed. A comic's comic as Bill Burr would say.
