This is why I just buy my own shit now and I throw the shitty gifts from her into my closet, only to be thrown away next year.

If I want something I buy it myself, my ex used to say it was hard to buy me gifts and I would say that's because I worked to the point I just buy what I want. Women are better at recieving and wanting gifts. Even if they can afford it they'll rather you get it for them to show love.
