Met Patrice at Caroline’s with my wife before a show and had a drink at the bar with him. One of the nicest guys ever. RIP my brother wish the world still had you here today!!!!

Ive listened to the entirety of Black Phillip like 10 times consecutively. I love Patrice. Also finished the Office after starting on season 4. So when I decided to start from season 1, I flipped when I saw Patrice in one of the first episodes.

I can’t help feeling bad for patrice cuz he should’ve been way bigger name than he was/is but then again I think he didn’t get that big because he was himself & refused to sell out & didn’t let anything change himself which is one of the reasons why we love him. RIP Patrice

You got this backwards. Patrice laid him out with that. No one laughed because everyone was still in character, the scene was still rolling. Laughter only came at the end of the scene. You even hear Patrice smack his lips when he says it looks like you ate them. Its such a lame joke from someone like Dave, because its low hanging fruit, its an easy out. And we're talking about people who roast each other regularly at the comedy cellar. Dave took the easy out.

Man saw him in the office and that show were he was a triple A guy years before I discovered his stand up. Would listen to O&A from time to time as a teen but don't recall catching any of his guest spots. Only when I saw Elephant in the room did my life philosophy begin to change. And he passed away not soon after.

Especially some of his more political stuff. And I think he makes a bigger deal about black dudes in dresses then there needs to be. There's just as many white dudes in dresses in movies if not more.

13:41 - He's actually right though. A LOT of black actors have talked about having to do their own hair and even makeup because the makeup artist didn't know how to do it. He was joking but only because that's how he communicates. She was probably using a regular brush and Patrice was asking for a boar bristle brush.
