Patrick Duffy was a young actor who just got a job on his first TV series. He was basically living out of his car and had just got an apartment but it wasn't furnished with anything. My Uncle Bud Hardin purchased a refrigerator for him. The series was quickly canceled. The next year a new series started called "Dallas" and Patrick insisted on my Uncle working on the show with him. My Uncle was a former MLB player and was very close friends with Chuck Connors who starred in The Rifleman. Bud worked on many series such as "Chips" and movies. My Uncle Bud when interviewed said Patrick was the nicest man he ever worked with.

Never thought about it, but yes, I think you do resemble the "young" Patrick Duffy,,,,,especially the way your curls fall slightly over your forehead. You also have the gentle, warming smile he had at times on Dallas. I do think the years, his age, and all the unhappy things life brings sometimes has "hardened" him somewhat 'cause I think his tone was a bit too harsh. As I have watched your videos from almost the first episode, I have always found you to be pleasant when you meet up with people and always reveal your genuine heartfelt emotions about the way things were in the rough days in history and also, the way things are today. Keep doing what you do because you "do it so well" and you do "make good things for good people" Thanks to you and Sarah.

I remember when they filmed an episode in the small town I grew up in, back when I was 16. They changed the towns name to Landown Louisiana. All the 'stars' treated the folks in our town like we were beneath them, however I found a camera guy who couldn't find a place to eat because the lines were out the doors and around the block, so I took him home with me. I'll never forget how surprised he was to get a homemade sandwich and other things to eat for lunch and a big ole glass of sweet tea. He said he couldn't believe how nice we were, and I explained that's how we do it in Texas. He said he was from California and they wouldn't just bring someone they didn't know into their house and feed them... And I remember telling him that's why we don't go to California. We laughed while he ate his sandwich and he said he loved being around real down to earth nice people who didn't pretend. (You could tell he wasn't start struck by working around people such as Patrick Duffy and the others). Right before he left to go back to work after his lunch break he asked if I had an old T-shirt he could have and I got him one and he took his off and gave it to me as a momento. It had some kind of electrical company ad on the back of it. I thought that was the strangest thing, but I guess that was his way or leaving something of his behind for exchange for his meal. He was a really nice guy, but the actors...not so much! I'm not sure many of us were very impressed.

I just recently came across your channel and I subbed immediately after watching your video about the school shooting in 1932. I will say that I never really had any thoughts about who you resembled and I can kind of see where people might see some slight resemblance with Patrick Duffy (Who by the way still looks great for his age). If you were to ask me who you resemble most I think The Actor Norm Spencer who did voice over for The X-Men The Animated Series as the character Cyclops and varies other voices in the series. Norm unfortunately passed away a few years back so you can't really get his personal opinion. Ultimately you are who you are regardless of who you may look like. Keep up the great work on the channel.

He could have at least got the name of your show right. That felt like a "big timer" response. I thought it was a little insulting despite him trying to be gracious at the end. What do you bet he looked up your show later on? Curiosity affects us all!

Funny video Jeff. I think that was nice of him to respond, assume there was a cost to get him to do it. I think he was trying to be humorous or sarcastic. Or as we would say, “Tongue in Cheek”. 😅😂

Yeah, I’m on the fence about how to interpret his response. He didn’t give my request a lot of consideration and I question if he even took a look at my picture. Oh well! Thanks for the feedback, Wayne!

I might give Patrick the benefit of the doubt. Seems he was trying to be cheeky and self-deprecating. I've been told I look like a younger (I hope so) Dick Van Dyke. I got to meet him about 15 years ago at a convention. I wished I would have written a couple of questions down beforehand. I blanked. We shook hands and he was gracious and kind like you'd expect him to be.

There is a common theme in a lot of the murders discussed on History Hunters... it seems most do not get punished in a way that would imply their victim's lives were worth much.

This was so sad to see his reaction. I loved watching Dallas as a kid and later Step by Step with him as a dad. It looks like he really misses his younger self and wishes he could go back. I think he didn't want to say too much because it depresses him more to think about it. I noticed that he is also very thin, hopefully he is healthy otherwise. It seemed very rude to me that he basically accused you of sending a fake photo. The least he could do is check out your channel to see what you really look like. Thanks for the video! I see how people would think you look like him but obviously you're not. You're much younger for one thing!!! 😂

Maybe it's the hair!---When I lived in a co-ed dorm I was the cafeteria checker & one of the gals told me she thought I had a sister resident, & since I knew every face, I just could not recall anyone looking like me. One day the first gal happened to see the one she thought I resembled, & I was flabbergasted to think the pretty second gal was the one I looked like! Flattering, to say the least. During one summer break in the 60's, I was told I looked like Elke Summers, wow, I never saw myself as cute or pretty because I'd never been told that by my family. I see some of my old pictures & think ya, I guess I was cute, even pretty at times. Now, at 72, I have my moments, generally feel like Gladys Kravitz!

Jeff, I think it's the curly hair that does it. Soneone once told me I looked like Robert Redford. I told her, no, I look like Dan Quayle. But now, I look like Dan Dailey....

You do resemble a younger Patrick Duffy! His answer to you could have been a little nicer but like you said - maybe he was just missing his youth. I didn't know that his parents were murdered and for just $90.. How horrible. And to think those 2 are walking around today - where is the justice in that.

He sounded to me like he thought he was being tricked by Ai. It was indeed a strange answer he had. If someone was paying me for a message, I'd definitely try to make it a nice positive one to brighten their day. I personally don't see you looking like him but they say everyone has a doppleganger so there are more than one of all of us somewhere 😂. Mine happened to be from the same village as me here in Ireland 🇮🇪. When I'd walk in her friends would wave over saying "hello Angela" and I'd just wave back and say "no, it's me, Karen again" 😂 Sometimes we would chat to each other and really confuse them 😆 One day even her mother called across the street to me because she thought I was her and as I got closer to her she went crimson and apologised but it amused me and still does 😊
