Patrick Sweany is part of the wider Dan Auerbach contingent. Before the Black Keys, Auerbach was a guitarist in Patrick's band back in Ohio. He has also produced two of Patrick's records. Over the past year, Sweany has picked up a Fender/Guild endorsement and toured the country several times. On a given night he'll swing through blues, folk, soul, bluegrass, maybe some classic 50s rock, or punk. Patrick Sweany recorded this Shiner Session in the Do512 Lounge during SXSW 2013.

As much as I can appreciate the Black Keys and their recent fame (aka Dan Auerbach). It is quite ridiculous that Mr. Sweany is not yet a household name. His talent as a musician and as a creator of magnificent songs.... is profuse.

After 8 years this is still the best original pure blues rock out there. Patrick Sweany is the definition of underrated.

Simply incredible. What a talent. I agree with Puffle, People need to hear more of him. Maybe increased interest in Black Keys will help. In my case it led me here..
