With World of Tanks update 1.22 the T26E5 Patriot got buffed. This is one of the best tanks to get out of the bond store, and the recent buffs have made it even better!

The T26E5 is a Pershing development and the Pershing is a medium tank.

Max, after the buffs to the dispersion, you can go with a basic Mobility Improvement System T1 or T2 (Exp. Equipment) instead of IRM and Turbo, and have Rammer and Vents as the other two equipment (in their upgrade slots to save on bounty equipment). You lose just a little in terms of dispersion and power, but gain view range and other dynamics from Vents. You get to save Bounty equipment by putting Vents and Rammer in the upgrade slots and Exp equipment in the third one, for overall very little difference.

I lately purchased Patriot with bonds. I'm far to be among best players in this game, but yes the tanks is worth the 8000 bonds. You don't have to shoot gold and you make a lot of credits, even with bad crews. I successfully started with the first knowledge at 0%, developping repairs first, and that works. Thanks Max 👍

The Patriot falls between a MT and HT, is a Main Battle Tank, so I can see it having a kind of high top speed. Problem is/was of course the intro of wheelies and turbo. Maybe not so much turbo as you can put turbo on any vehicle regardless of category

Thanks for the awesome video! Besides the 50kph top speed forwards, I think this base reverse and traverse speed paired with a turbo and irm are quite surprising. This really looks like a well armoured medium tank now.

The 240 alpha is just a deal breaker for me. Tried it after buffs with experimental turbo instead of vert stabs and with the turbo, Hp and rammer, but it just isnt competitive against BZs and Skoda T56 and such tanks.

Did you try with vents instead of hp? It increases dpm, since your alpha is low you gotta increase the reload speed as much as possible My build would be improved vents, improved rammer and either coated optics or experimental turbo thingy, for now i use optics since i don't have improved vents

@@vcommandarv5916 Do you actually believe vents or hp will make any noticeable difference? :D I bet If we hide reload, hp, viewrange and you play one and another you would never be able to tell the difference

@@durachoks yes I would be able to know the difference, hp I can count it when taking damage, view range I can notice it when I out spot others and not be a blind visible target and reload time I can count it and notice it in fights, reload time literally translates to DPM and is extremely important when brawling, and yes they make a very huge difference else we would've played without equipment ._.

Max you make it look so easy...I just picked up this tank and I'm doing just OK in the first few days playing it. Need to be more tactical and also I will change up my eqpt as I'm using vent/rammer/stab. One good thing is it makes money and I need it. Also yea it may have a good turret but tier 10's obliterate it. Than k you for another great video.

The whole point of the matchmaker mixing up the tiers is basically to slow down the players progress so they get frustrated and pull out their wallets

Thought I'd just thankyou for the latest recommendations for the Azure Pegasus; Onslaught [1st time touching Ranked-style battles]. I've been struggling to figure out my load outs, equip', and the insights have "awaken" my dulled brain. I feel like the top speeds buff is just to say they buffed it. In my testing your more held back by ground resistances and engine power. And a turbo would only really get it up to the 45 it would have done pre buff.

I really struggle to even get to 45 with a turbo. The ground resistance stats are TERRIBLE.

@@AMDERS17 then u need gousers instead, vehicles that easily reach top speed benefit from turbo and vehicles that rarely reach top speed benefit from increases to terrain resistance

How about this balance idea. Tech Tree T8s should only ever face T8 maximum, while premium T8s only ever face T8-10. You could then make exceptions for the old/bad T8s prems that are actually balanced to give them the 'selling' feature that they are classified as tech tree tanks for matchmaking purposes.

I have both but haven't played them since the buff. Not playing at all, I'm afraid. Too much work to do. Hide the cupola on the french tank. It's weak.

Yes why WG so stingy on credits? Lately personal credit boosters are scarce. I can't grind top of tree tanks and keep up with credit usage

I didn’t have one for this video. You could pick anything you want though, there are loads of different set ups for this tank.

as much as i respect you max i certainly cant agree with your view of hiw fast every heavy tank should go. the t26e5 is a pershing development as a proper heavy tank compared to the heavy medium crossover that the pershing was. The pershing was out to go 48kmh so why shouldn’t a development from said that kn the same base go similar speeds. same as things like the object 277, in real life it could actually go 55 kmh. the funny thing is, the 279 speed nerf was needed but theoretically by historicalaccuracy it shouldve went 55kmh as well. the is7 went 60kmh, going back down in speed the is3 goes 38kmh ingame, the real version went 37kmh. the speeds ingame arent actually wrong. like the amx 50 series was set out to go 65kmh

It plays a lot more like a chonky medium than it does a heavy, don’t know why it’s classified as a heavy when the only thing heavy about it is it’s turret armor and hit points.

Why didn't you use your magic C.C. matchmaking to line up tier 7 and tier 6! You could've shown us how to "Dominate on the Battlefield", like a certain other C.C. seems to. Which by the way is the reason I subscribe to you and not them!

Patriot is my favourit tank, and i totally agree - it was ok without the buffs. Also credit making overall sux! MM and balancing is not a kompetence of WG!. EBRs, skoda t56 and now bz.176! i dont get it! why i still play after ten years - i dont know. I only get frustrated. Thx for ur work on this channel.

Heya everyone, I'm wondering the numbers that show up while targeting an enemy tank, is that somewhere in the settings or like an addon? I'm fairly new and that seems handy for like when I move up a tier and start seeing a bunch of tanks that are new to me...

3 tier games are hated by most players. Since the update on the Asia server I am finding lots of 3 tier games even when playing tier 4 tanks!

I like how you go from complaining that the tank is ''overbuffed'' because it's too fast, to complaining that it gets a tier 10 match making. Well.. maybe they buffed it because nobody was playing it BECAUSE it gets the tier 10 MM. At least now you can pretend you are a medium... What Im saying is that it is a very good buff.

I would say reduce speed by 4 and give it 35 more alpha. The tank still meh overall... it's good yes but in grand scheme of things its weak vs tier 8 prems out now in heavy lineup even medium.

HTs get their speed buffed because armor is nothing in this game. Everybody spams gold nonstop so they have no armor and they need to rush into cover fast or get caught in the open and go garage

Wargaming is once again throwing away historical numbers for fake numbers. In the real world, the T26E5 could reach a top speed of 40 KPH. I do not know why the speed was boosted. They did something questionable with the Tiger II. Its front turret armor was around 180, I believe. They buffed it to some insane number of 250 then allowed it the same turret speed with all the extra mass. Wargaming, give tanks their real numbers, then move them to the correct tier and follow-up with soft stats from there.

You're pointing out something really troublesome of this game. T8 is bad, full-stop. It is just boring gameplay with steam rolls or high losses 8/10 games, no new dynamics bad balance and uninspiring maps. Couple that with the worst MM and its a wonder this game is even played...

Why this whining about +2 matchmaking? And on top while smashing the enemy team... I miss the time when you met in your mighty Hetzer the Maus. Fearful, but with the will to kill planned to flank it and need to know every single weakspot then, when you and your team managed it to this point. Nowadays everything is "unfair" and "OP" - no one enjoys the struggle anymore, that creates the tales of great battles. And what will happen if you got +1 mm only? Less flanking, more boring frontal shooting...
