Great shirt! I normally am not into the heart techniques but this is actually something I would make an exception for. My favorite part is that line you got from the edge of the rack.

I really love it. I know I say that all the time, but I really do love your designs and the dye applications. You have a great brain for designs and the ability to come to fruition. Sure there have been some that are okay, but for the most part you knock it out of the park every time! Love the double-line heart. Love the lines that 'connect' both lines. I love how bold the heart is, and it definitely has red, white and blue vibes, without being a direct flag representation which is cool! I've seen some people use marbles before when tying off items, but wondered if you have ever experimented with including random objects? I was pondering maybe some cookie cutters or plastic toys, or even cooking utensils/tools? No clue what the results would be, but I think it could be a fun experiment! I've used flat rectangular sticks in the past which produced some nice lines on a tee. Sadly, I'm in a tiny space now, so creative messes are somewhat restricted. Your designs are really inspiring, and I love your use of ice. Sending appreciation from the UK with a subscribe 🙂

Have you ever tried a gather stitch on your line to make folding easier more even? Would this even work or is it a waste of time?

I have done a gather stitch for hearts before. I have had a couple issues with it though. My needle has a hard time going through multiple layers of the soda ash soaked shirt without getting dull. Since the needle dulls, I tried using a little larger needle (still a sewing needle though, so not too large) and I had small holes form over time after a few washings around the outline of the heart.
