My nephew is 10 now. When he was around 6 or so, he heard Elvis for the first time. He wanted to know if we could ever go see him sing. I had to explain that Elvis had passed away a long time ago. He was upset. Same thing happened again when he heard Whitney Houston.

She's wearing the headband to hide scars from a nearly fatal car wreck. She was riding with her brother when a truck slammed into her door. While she was in the hospital, Loretta Lynn dedicated I Fall To Pieces to her. She sent her husband to fetch Loretta, and they quickly became best friends. Patsy was killed in a plane crash just a couple of years later. Loretta named one of her twin daughters Patsy, and 60 years later, still has a hard time singing Patsy Cline's songs.

I think this was one of my father's all-time favorite songs. He was born in 1919, so he would have been 42 when this came out. I'm now 75 (born 1948), and it's in my "top 10" of all time also. BTW, written by Willie Nelson.

her band members would say as soon as she'd start sing they'd all get goosebumps! You opened a huge well of killer tunes dude! Check out " So Wrong" next! there's a gasp at the end of the song that will tear your heart out!

When they show her singing you can see a metal band right under her hair on her forehead. This was after that car accident that almost killed her. And she still sang so purely.

In the 60s there was no auto tune or any way to enhance your voice in the studio or on stage. That’s why so many singers from then, my generation, had to be the best they could be. Patsy, Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Rolling Stones, Janis Joplin, The Four Tops, The Surprems, etc. And they are still iconic. If you put in the effort, these singers are the result. Great reaction! ✌🏻& LOVE
