Nope you are not crazy - we was feed the only way to get nice soft curly big hair is to be mixed which we now know it's not true. In my opinion, we was conditioned to ruin our own hair. Who knew the power we have behind our own natural hair.

It's so funny too because it's such a simple and inexpensive concept to wet your hair and add gel or some other curl enhancing product. All products work differently but it's basic and we spend so much money and time getting relaxers that damage our hair.

Yes! Wish there was KZfaq when was younger I definitely would have gone natural sooner. KZfaq is really the only reason I know about taking care of my natural hair.
@pamelawalker9056
@pamelawalker9056 4 жыл бұрын
@@virtuousme4096 exactly - I wish I had discovered to research on KZfaq about how to go natural and not being under control of a stylist to keep continue to get relaxers. It would had been so much easier to transition years ago instead of big chopped two years ago due to severe damage from the relaxer, no edges, bald spot on crown.

I wanted to be excited about this line but the prices are exploitative. $25 for conditioner is not accessible like she said they would be, especially knowing how much product people with curly/coily hair have to use. Feels like natural hair products getting more expensive is just kind of a slap in the face to the movement

@@curlynella1011 there are 'white' haircare brands that also operate at this price point. She decided to go with salon prices, to stay that's a 'black hair care' thing is unfair. Most black hair care brands are pushing organic ingredients, of course it's gonna cost more than the silicone filled mega corp's products
@BeautyOutspoken

CurlyNella1011 still doesn’t take away the fact that brands can choose to position themselves however they want. People seem to selectively outraged on high prices. Everyone is arguing about expensive natural hair products on overpriced IPhones.
@wannabe41

I'm a bit torn. I like Tracee, but they're a lot of black owned hair care brands that have been around for a long time selling quality products with good ingredients but don't have the advantage of built in name recognition like Tracee does. I'd rather invest my money with one of those brands. I think she could have made her products more affordable, but perhaps she wanted her brand to be seen as high end. I wish her luck, but I'll pass.

Winston Peldon I'm glad you said this because I was thinking the same thing. I saw her interview by Seth Meyers and remember her saying that and then I went to her website when it launched and took one look at the prices and was like WTF?! I wonder who she was thinking of being able to access good quality and AFFORDABLE hair care when she came up with these prices.

Whew, come through with this early review!!! I LOVE the fact that your hair looks this good without gel, heavy pomades or twisting cream. It literally looks light and fluffy just like Tracee’s signature style. I’d also like to add that one should consider the price per unit on Tracee’s hair products in order to see the value. It seems overpriced at first glance, but when you price it per ounce, it comes out to any of the other popular natural hair care brands. When she said the pricing was accessible, I knew she didn’t mean $6.99 lol.

So I went today and immediately bought these products and I must say I love them! The price point for this line of products is definitely fitting for the brand.Alot of natural hair brands are usually 10 dollars or more for a single product but you get much LESS product than this line. This gives you ALOT of product for 20-25 dollars. So you actually do get your money's worth imo.
