In this video I show how to cut up a designer pattern paper to make it work for my photos and layout. With some layered stamping, ink blending & customising stickers this layout comes together to suit my photos perfectly.

I really like this. Extra good when there are photos on the layouts. The stamping is excellent!

Thank you so much Nanette. I love doing layered stamping, it's so fun and I just enjoy the whole process. I can't often share photos on my layouts for my family album projects, so it's fun to have friends that allow me to use photos on social media.

Thank you so much. It's fun to be able to use travel photos of my friends. My family ask that they not be on social media, so I have to respect that if I want to be able to keep on taking photos of them.

I had no doubt you’d make that paper work. The stamping looks so cool and I’m a bit envious of those stamp sets, I do not have them. I quite like the angle off the papers narrowing down towards the top.

I'm so glad you had faith in what I was doing. I wasn't so sure it would all work out, but love the end result. These stamp sets are definite keepers for me for sure!

I love what you did with the stickers, the subtle stamping softened the edges. I will definitely copy that trick! It made such a difference to the look of the layout. It has never occurred to me to do that and I tend not to use a lot of stickers because they look a bit stark on the page. Great tip! 👍🥰

I'm so glad you liked what I did with the stickers. Large stickers sometimes are tricky to use - and while I had all my stamps and ink out it seemed like the perfect solution for these elements.

I had huge doubts tearing into that pretty paper, but am so pleased with the end result. I'm really trying to use just that collection for this album so I had to be committed!!! Thank you for your kind words.

Thank you so much Cathy. I kept putting this layout off as I had selected all the patterns for each layout for the album in a sorting process, so I felt like I just had to make this pattern paper work.

@@JaniceGilhooley I was struggling with the top left page stopping abruptly and you extended it over to the left making a nice continuation. After that I could see a “ray” of white moving fluidly from one page to the next. For some reason the stamping needed at the bottom left didn’t catch my eye! Nice job filling it in! You used the paper so beautifully!

Thank you so much Cathy. I was glad I didn't cut that larger triangle down to match the smaller one so that gave me more options. I love continuing stamping and papers across a double page spread - it just adds cohesiveness to a layout, especially one with this continuation of stamping. Thanks for watching my video all the way through to the end to catch that little addition!

I love it! Might be tempted to add a touch of green due to the grass in the photo.

I showed 3 different stamp sets throughout the stamping process and all are CTMH sets and are older retired sets & one was exclusive with a CTMH Album Retreat. Here's the list: B1803 Adventure Badges, #1078 Wide Open Spaces, C1546 Tommy Scrapbooking Workshop

You can see some close up photos on my Instagram and FB page if you would like to check it out. I did hold the page up closer to the camera after some of the stamping but forgot to after stamping the little cameras.
