I have joined several FB groups when I bought my Cricut and binged watch YT videos to get comfortable with my machine. I came across one of your videos over the weekend and ever since I can not stop. Hi, I've been looking at several different uploads, and yours by far are the most succinct and intelligent. I used to publish and lay out a magazine using Photoshop. I would like to know the difference between weld and flatten. Thank you.

Your videos are very informative and helpful. I would like to use design space exclusively but so many videos on you tube want to to use other apps and I have not figured that out yet and might never be able to. I am even having trouble finding the "free cut of the week" that is emailed to me from Cricut. I don't know where to go in design space to find them. So frustrating. Sure hope the newest beta version is let out to us all very soon.

Can you not slice other fonts? I was trying out all of my system fonts and can't get any of them to show layers? Does it have to be an actual Cricut font?

How do you get the chevron pattern on the final project when you cut? Do you have it print first? I am a new Cricut Explore user upgrading from an older Cricut.

+Bertha Tijerina I don't print, I cut the vinyl. And yes, you can cut different colors for each layer.

+mommabates2 Are you choosing two one layer images? Make sure that each layer is only one layer (not attached or grouped to anything). When selecting the two, either drag a box around the two or hold your shift key down and click each layer. You can look at your layers panel to see if both layers are highlighted. If you are trying to slice an uploaded image, did you try the work around? It's kind of hard to explain when I can't see your screen :( You may join my Facebook Group and post a screenshot so that I can be of more assistance. facebook.com/groups/designspacelessons/
