If it’s any consolation Pat, my first shiny encounter was full odds (besides shiny charm) Sentret while shiny hunting Applin in Apple grove. That’s when I learned you couldn’t auto battle them. Needless to say I false swiped in prep and he double edged.

It's crazy to me that Yugz got shiny Articuno from USUM in the first one, and then got shiny Suicune from USUM for this one, and both have pale blue shinies

My first shiny was a full odds solrock in a b2 nuzlocke actually as my first encounter... I named him solgaleo cause it was during gen7 hype season. I'm not a shiny hunter but the sheer amout of hours I had in pokemon I have encountered it felt a bit ridiculous I had never captured ones in my years of playing be4 that.

Im still kinda surprised even with the worse odds nobody went for the legendaries in ultra wormholes.

On your over 18,000 for Celebi.. my roommate hunted galarian zigzagoon in sword, and it took him over 25,000 encounters.

Without the insanely easy and high shiny odds of LA and SV you would need to have like 3 people hunting for each pokemon if you wanted to have a chance at completing a challenge like this Just goes to show how easy shiny hunting in those games have become I literally got 4 full boxes of shinies in SV in less than 2 months Whereas in SwSh, i dont even have 3 boxes and ive been playing that for over 3 years
