Y'all better appreciate Patti while she's still here. This time one month ago we didn't know Aretha was as close to death as she was and now she's gone. I'm not saying Patti is dying, I'm just saying we need to appreciate these amazing vocalists while they're still here. They don't make artists like Patti and Aretha anymore and once they're gone they won't be replaced. This was an epic performance.

Me too. I am sitting on the deck and listening to this and brings me so much relaxation as I tackle stress and other things in life. Thank you Patti for being such passionate singer. I love when people do things in passion and honesty. That’s what we got from Patti on the stage: passion, honesty, and truth through that voice and stage presence.

What's funny is my first boyfriend used to listen to Patti LaBelle. This was back in 1988. I used to go over to his house to listen to her. He died ten years ago. His name was Rob Perritt. I used to laugh about his last name. I remember walking down the dirt road from his house in the middle of the night. I held his hand. We made hamburger patties on his grill. This was my first and only boyfriend.

I saw here once ( I think it was 2010) in Oakland California & let me tell you! This woman can sing like NO ONE ON EARTH!!! She sang for two hours straight & people screamed so loud that she came back and sang for another 30-45 minutes!!!! It was pure heart & soul & everyone was on their feet FEELING THE HOLY SPIRIT!!!! It was an experience I will never ever forget (& have never experienced again).
