A thumbs up to the interviewer as well. This is how an interview should be conducted. An example other interviewers could follow.

She's truly one of a kind and a real iconoclast and real Auto didact and yet not a loner or an isolator. I was fortunate to see her and her band around 2008-2009 perform at a small venue in downtown Los Angeles and she did some poetry reading and then they played and they Rock for two and a half hours maybe three; it was incredible !! 🙏📚🤔☮️☯️✌️👁️👁️👂👍💕😻

I read a lot but try,, when possible, to get the audio books when it's an autobiography mostly because they are usually read by the author. This is the case with "M Train" Patti is always so authentic in every thing she writes and performs so it was a real treat to hear her read her own prose piece. There are some real emotional moments like when she talks about her husband's death and starting her career over again. She travels the world to perform and give readings. She moves to Coney Island just before Supertorm Sandy and her house in flooded. Just great emotional stuff on and on. A great book and a terrific lady.

Holy God! Patti Smith and CD 318 in the same room! Patti Smith has a way of intersecting the special things in this world. She believes in celebrating life -- living in connection with something great that we may not always understand completely. She talks about "proximity" -- hmmm...

I was lucky enough to meet Patti at the Snobby ICA in Boston in frigid cold waterfront cold 'Spoken Verse /Acoustic Setting 30 people tops showed great chilling night.I hung back as a FAN to get a CD Signed by her we ended up talking until Security told we are closing the Building you guys gotta go.She kept returning the focus on me .She handed me my CD and said 'Now I know Boston Tommy as we parted she said 'Bye Tommy' like I grew up with her.She is REAL.RockNRoll snobbery like music insiders get the 1st 3 rows of Concert Seats I saw it as a Stage Hand Casual Labor the cool people.Back stage with the Stones Bragging Rights PSG smashed that but fell off a stage during a concert at a skating rink laying her up opening the door for 'The Talking Heads etc got the credit.Met Peter Mac in 78 at Carly Simons Club. She waited till after Labor Day so MV Island locals could come not Studio 54 Clons.Peter Mac became Famous and killed shortly after. You may know him as Peter Tosh.Love both of these people I'm from New Bedford Waterfront but as a kid was part of the Black Panther Party that had a major chapter in my city.Peter thought he struck gold meeting someone so close to that he really asked many things,I remember he was mad at a guy called Bobby Marley and felt Mick Jagger spends more money on make up than Trench Town has to spend on Food.HE WAS NOT FAMOUS WHEN I MET HIM I'M NOT A COOL DRESS IN BLACK HOPELESSLY HIP MUSIC INSIDERS Power to the People
