I love this! It's so different from what I'm usually drawn to. I brought my first figurative piece in to the office and hung it by my desk so I can see it all day. Next week I'll move it to the end of the hallway so everyone who comes into our building can enjoy it. Your work is very inspiring!

Love your fun art. What brand/type of acrylic paint do you use

Thanks Karen, I use several brands, I love Golden but being in Canada it is pricey with the exchange rate. I like Tri-Art fluids and Kroma heavy body-both manufactured in Canada. If you are in the US Nova colours is a good brand at a reasonable price. For a less expensive paint I use Amsterdam.

Are there colors that you personally avoid?

I am not a big fan of yellow but I don’t avoid it as it is a primary mixing colour. The best advice I have is to stay on one side of the colour wheel at a time. Dry in between warm and cool layers - this way you will avoid making mud!
