For those who have and have had amazing mothers, please remember how lucky we are and were. This song always reminds me of my amazing mother, and how lucky I was to have her, even in the worst moments, like in the song. Parents are supposed to love unconditionally and understand how important it to just show up and be a champion for their kids, only wanting the best for them with no agenda. Some parents do this, too many don't. My mother always did. The life I have is because of her. To say I was and am lucky is an understatement. I miss her like crazy but find comfort in knowing she is finally at peace.

I revisited this. The first time I listened to this was when I was four years old. I have a picture of my best friend on my wall. Me and her visited each every few Sundays. One day I got the news she was leaving to America. I was hardly phased. But I did feel like something was in my throat. I created a little fantasy that she'd never go. Three months later on Thanksgiving (in Canada) I was woken up. My mom said we had to help her. I didn't know what we had to help her with, but I was just happy I could see her. Then I was told they were packing up. I tried to look tough. But when we listened to see you again we both could not help it. We must've both created a fantasy. A few days later I visited her again. Then a few days later again. Then one of our last visits we listened to every of our favorite songs. Including the sad ones. I had finally found her old favorite. Then as she drove away I waved. I'm not sure if she saw that or if she was looking away because she was crying. But our last visit I petted my favorite cat and hugged her. I watched as tears ran down our faces. She had to leave me and her brother. I was thinking of this song It happened this year. And we are twelve years old. I will one day see her again.

My mom used to play this when I was a little girl in the 80's. She used to hold me and cry when this song came on the radio or t.v. She would ask me how she and I would say goodbye to once she finally killed herself. Now this song traumatizes me when I hear it, but it's also part of my healing. She was a very inappropriate woman with her words. She leaned too much on this five year old girl😞😞😞

I lost my best friend Anne Marie Harsell Huntington on June 26th 2020. She passed away from hodgkins lynphoma as soon as i saw that post from her mother on Facebook. i just cried my heart out and cried my eyes out. I was so upset and so devastated that i lost a friend who i was close to. I never called her to tell her how much i loved her. I never even got a chance to say goodbye to her. I miss her so much. This song reminds me of my best friend. Patty Loveless. I love this song. You have a beautiful voice. The only songs i like are How Can I Help You To Say Goodbye Blame It On Your Heart.
