Hi, QQ please. In the scenario of the transfer of Equity, which party is liable for the SDLT? Is it the partner whom is leaving and being paid the £100,000 or the partner remaining in the property and paying the consideration in settlement? Thank you!

The person who is buying the property in exchange for the "consideration". SDLT is payable by the buyer of the property or share
