With an illustrious career designing automobiles for and heading up the performance divisions of GMH, Toyota and Nissan, Paul Beranger’s real passion burns for Italian-designed art cars. With a meticulous attention to detail, Paul has resurrected one of only 12 RHD delivered Ford powered DeTomaso Mangusta's in the world. A vehicle with a shape, in his opinion that can’t possibly be perfected upon.

my Grandfather was one of the Ford Executives in charge of the deTomaso Pantera program I remember being picked up from school in a shiny Yellow Pantera as a child ,those cars are truly priceless!

What a beautiful car,the Italians have always had some wonderful and sexy looking vehicles in their stable. and that exhaust note is something I could listen to all day. gorgeous.

I have got a remote control toy car from my godmother over 30 years ago. Nobody had a clue what that car is. Today, I would recognize a Mangusta from far away in a pitch black room 😅 I have lost the toy since, but recently acquired another one just like that, but in a much better shape. Mine was "used" a lot! 😅

In 1969 at the age of 16 I was given a ride in a red Mangusta that was owned by a dentist in Adelaide. At the time the owner told me that he had paraded it on the track at Randwick prior to a horse race meeting. I was wondering if your car might be the same vehicle as so few of the right hand drives were produced. My memory is that it had a Mercury-Edsel-Lincoln Ford V8 that was over 400 cubic inches in capacity. I was blown away at the time at how fast it took off and even more impressed with how fast it stopped. Love the video. Cheers and thanks.

I come from Coventry in England and when I was in my teens I used to see Jensen Interceptors locally. I wanted one and but I didn't even know what it was. When I saw photos of a Mangusta I wanted one of those too. Both used American engines. My question is why didn't the Americans do something like it themselves?

The Argentine Alejandro De tomaso was owner of the De tomaso Company in Italy,Ford Motores Company provided V8 engines from USA.It is Giugiaro Design( italian automotive designer),the Best of Siglo XX.👍🇦🇷👍🇮🇹👍🇱🇷

Sadly from 2030 on all the combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in EU :-( In Germany the Green party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing petrol stations to only one single state operated station per city. :-(

@@milanesaconpure717 no, around the 2:30 mark he speaks of Australian cars. DeTomaso is an Italian brand btw. Don't let the Argentinian colours in its logo fool you.
