Paul Burrell repeatedly stated he WAS in love with his wife and cared about her very much and they ARE STILL FRIENDS. Back in that era there was tremendous homophobia and severe discrimination against gay people. He was forced to "stay in the closet" for years. I have known several dozen gay people who tried to force themselves to be straight, got married, had kids and then when they reached their mid 40s finally had to ADMIT their homosexuality. This is a very common phenonemon. The nastiest thing about this interview is the HYPOCRITE man who is interviewing Paul Burrell. He kept bugging, nagging and hounding Paul Burrell about coming out of the closet BUT it turns out that interviewer guy with the sliver hair was IN THE CLOSET for many decades and during his entire marriage was cheating on his wife with gay men in secret. Paul Burrell WAS FAITHFUL to his wife during their entire marriage and NEVER cheated on her with gay men in secret relationships. What on earth are you referring to that "Paul Burrell ran off with another son" This makes no sense. Are you implying that Paul Burrell ran of with somebody's child? Get your facts straight!

Did you even bother to actually READ Paul Burrell's book? I read it multiple times and it was a warm, affectionate, kind book and not even ONE WORD was "gossipy" nor was any of that book an attempt to "Dish Dirt" or tattle against anyone in the royal family. His book was charming and an affection memoir of his 20 years of service to the royal family. He worked 10 years as butler to Queen Elizabeth and 10 years for Diana. Out of ANYONE who knew Diana, it is definitely Paul Burrell who is the most loyal devoted defender of Diana's memory. Paul Burrell has NEVER "been full of himself" - if you actually knew the history of what motivated Paul Burrell to write the book.......he was wrongly accused and arrested and going to be put on trial on trumped up fake charges that he allegedly "stole" items from Diana. It was all completely rubbish, no evidence whatsoever. Paul Burrell went bankrupt with massive legal bills. He lost his house, he lost all his life savings, he lost all his assets which took a lifetime to build up. His wife was forced to sell her wedding ring in order to buy groceries to feed their two boys. Paul Burrell and his wife and two small kids were facing homelessness because of huge legal bills he was forced to pay to lawyers to defend him from decades in prison when he was wrongly accused of "stealing" things from Diana. Eventually Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth had ALL those phony charges dropped and the criminal lawsuit case was dropped and dismissed. Paul Burrell said his utilities were going to be disconnected and he was losing his home in bankruptcy from legal bills So he wrote the book in order to put food on the table to feed his two small boys and support his wife who had to sell her wedding ring to support her two little boys. It sounds like you know VERY LITTLE about the actual history of what predicated the book to be written. I seriously doubt you even READ that book. It is a sweet and kind book and full of affection for Diana and the royal family. Do you know ANY history of what led to Diana's death in the car crash in the tunnel in Paris? It was her own BROTHER and TWO SISTERS who had hearts of stone and REFUSED to let Diana spend her summer vacation at the Spencer family estate, Althorp. Diana's brother and two sisters told her "it is too much of a hassle to let you vacation at Althorp estate because all the papparazzi will be hanging around taking pictures. That summer Charles had custody visitation of William and Harry and Diana was left alone, very lonely in her apt at Kensington Palace. 100% of her so called "friends" refused to let her spend her summer vacation with them. The most beautiful adored woman in the world HAD NO REAL FRIENDS and THAT is how she wound up on Mohammed Al Fayed's yacht for her summer vacation. If you want to "throw shade" and trash someone - it is Diana's own brother and two sisters who had a heart of stone. If they had allowed her to spend her summer vacation at Althorp she would have NEVER been in that tunnel in Paris with Dodi Al Fayed.
