Cesar, I am so sorry for your loss. I was married 18 years, 5 boys. Our 2nd oldest was just 17 when he was murdered in 2001 at his work during a robbery...THEN in 2003 after my divorce, I found my jr. high sweetheart Elizabeth Joan after 22 years apart. We only had just under 9 years together before she passed from a stroke at only 51. PLEASE know that I am here for you if you ever need a friend. They never ever leave us because we are all energy and energy never dies. God Bless You~

It kind of looked like the postman had made deliveries to Sir Paul numerous times before. "Bit cumbersome this one . . ." and Paul allows the postman to come in and sit in his kitchen like this happens all the time. I expect Paul would be a little more wary of strangers entering his home especially after George was stabbed in the chest by an intruder in his home in 1998.

How can even 57 people dislike this? It's Paul McCartney man, he's a genius.
@lastrada52
@lastrada52 Жыл бұрын
As only a suggestion Lauren -- these 57 people are people who don't like songs that are a bit of flashback. A hat-tip to the past. It's not rock n' roll, folk, or blues -- it's a middle-of-the-road, easy-listening ballad like my parents used to listen to & before them. Clever, and upbeat, like a lot of Rodgers-Hammerstein songs ("How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?"). The Cole Porter, the Gershwins & Hoagy Carmichael-type songs ("Hong Kong Blues" -- covered also by George Harrison) from the 20s through the 50s. McCartney would often find inspiration from those songbooks (as Bob Dylan recently did too). And I'm certain that's what irritates those 57 people. Who cares? I like it. You like it. You have taste. That's all that matters.

The guy could write a song on anything, anytime, anywhere. If he can dream a song like "Yesterday" then everything in the waking world is a bonus. He gets inspired very easily and it all seems like throwaway stuff but it isn,t ...Hello-Goodbye

***** Give the kid a break. This has that goofy feel of the Beatles. Instead of mandolin, George is playing the ukelele, John is sitting in the bathtub sinking U-Boats and Ringo is just smiling behind the drooms hitting all the right spots. Paul is just the keeper of that which once was. And this comment comes after I listened to all of John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band today. "Mother".

I'm sure many others have said this or something similar. Ahhhh, Paul's muse appears in the halls and back rooms of his home creating inspiration at any time of day or night. Playfully, he chases her he runs from her he tries hiding but can't. She's (the spirit of play) everywhere for him and his musings. Thank God we benefit by his meanderings with her. Love this song and it's 'klezmer?' flavour. Thank you.

@@6644pmr ok, smart-ass, how do you know it's a set? I don't assume it's Paul's house but it looked like a real house to me, and I'm pretty sure for such a small production they would more likely shoot on _location_ than go to the time, trouble and expense of _building exterior and interior sets!_ Now who's dumb? At least Thiago wasn't condescending.
@6644pmr
@6644pmr 5 жыл бұрын
MikeAnn193 you've obviously never worked in production. Filming in an actual house has so many variables that need to be worked out that it's easier to build a set in a controlled environment. If having the choice between the two the latter is much more attractive to a producer. Not to mention a lot of these sets are already built and can be simply refurnished to suit the needs of the shoot. What I said was dumb was someone actually thought he filmed in his own house. Takes a special kind of stupid to think he would ever do that.
