Paul doesn't need to have a #1 hit in Billboard anymore, he's not Rihanna or Lady Gaga, he's an artists with some of the greatest hits in the history of music and he accomplished something even more important: his songs are still heard and remembered 40 years after he began his career because he meant something to a whole generation, he was a pioneer of the change from one era to another, his sings remain after years and years because of musical quality and symbolism. No, he doesn't need to be Miley Cyrus or Eminem or Lil Wayne. Paul was among the pioneers who created new structures for modern music, and other iconic bands and singers of both pop and rock, have used musical elements introduced by Paul McCartney in the first place. I am 20 years old but I have listened to more than Justin Beiber and Beyonce, I know the minimum there is to know about the history of music and I deeply respect Paul McCartney. So sad to read many comments here.
