I completely disagree on the rock singer part if not the rest. I find McCartney's 'rock screaming' to sound like Donald Duck screaming. Awful! Lennon's far harder voice was far better at that. This generation seem to parrot media narratives (Lennon was an asshole, Yoko sucks, Paul was best which are vile racist libel but popular to our elite who don't like 'troublemakers' like Lennon who faced down the racist brutal cop racism and wars while others wrote songs. And was probably killed for it Having been the object of hate by various American Presidents, mostly Nixon of course and then 'Rayguns' all forgotten while the clueless repeated myths that 'John Lennon regularly beat up women and was a violent nasty bully' as spread on U Tube channels like 'Mojo'. 'People you though were cool but were really assholes') and have no clue about the 1960's or 70's. Unlike we who were there (born 1961) and a listener by 4 years old (my parents playing those Beatles LPs as each one came out, ultimately becoming MY PRECIOUS's. We all knew Lennon was the rocker and the lyrics man while Paul's greatest talents were melodic ones. Together they covered each other's relative strengths and weakness and with George Martin's production became OUR Mozarts together. They were never as good separately. The Beatles were a great team all of them. Like Zeppelin, the Doors or the Grateful Dead. Two examples to make my point. 'Twist and Shout' featuring John's powerful screaming vs Donald Duck McCartney dreadful blackboard scratching screeching on Helter Skelter which ruins this other wise classic song making it mediocre and rarely played. I much prefer the live Oasis version (the best thing that overrated band ever made IMHO). It is superior to the Beatles version in every way, even the riffing being more focused. Paul was a great ballad singer an better at it than John. 'Yesterday', 'Eleanor Rigby', 'Blackbird', Till there was you'. John could not have sung those as well as Paul did. I am not taking sides on those two great men just pointing out their relative strengths IMHO!

@@krisnestoridis6298 Nothing does but shallow and meaningless is less useful as art than deep spiritual music is. If you cannot distinguish the pleasures of electric machine rythym dance music and Bach , well what can I tell you. I LOVE 'Eleanor Rigby' it IS greater than a pretty melody, it speaks deeper to the human heart. I agree music plays many rolls and just up beat fun music certainly has its place but over time the quality stuff persists and the trendy fads fade and for good reason!
