First step is knowledge, for example knowing the skill and what situations its best used in, then its down to effective training. You can’t have one without the other. I’ve been getting tons of messages for this and I’m putting something together to bridge the gap

Surely players dont think about every single desicion making and every single intelligent play that could possibly be done in the jniverse every single second right? or maybe they dont "think" about it and just say "ive been in this situation before, i know what to do." instinct has to be part of a lot of this....

It’s time-dependent. For instance, Pogba may choose an elastico or reverse-elastico after analyzing the situation. The croqueta and Zidane are more of an instinctual reaction than a pre-planned skill. You can tell by who takes initiative. If an attacker makes the first move, it’s usually thought about. If the defender takes initiative, then the attacker, generally, doesn’t have time to think of a skill and it’s more about muscle memory.
