We are _all_ lost for words when we hear So Hyang sing Bridge Over Troubled Water, even the thousandth time. I don't believe there is anyone in the world who can "deliver the goods" with a musical performance like she can. She is just inexplicable. Period.

With her performances, she is building bridges to our hearts, warming us up with her amazing voice, respectful approach to every song and the radiant humility of her personality. She is making our planet a better place.

The little Gospel singer brought her chorus along and blew the roof off of the place. She can do anything, any venue, any genre, and never fails to amaze and transfix. I've seen this video dozens of times following reactors that first discover her, and it never gets old - it just doesn't. Great reaction. Cheers.

This was the first Sohyang video I ever saw and I've been a loyal fan ever since. I've pretty much watched all her available performances online but this one is my personal favorite. Thank you very much for reacting to my anti self-harm mantra and the very first Sohyang perf i ever watched. In my case, what i lost was 2 big towels completely drenched in tears after crying 4 hours straight. I think what got me is the word 'pain'... I just couldn't figure out how but she could clearly sing it as similar as my internal pain from years. There may be some other perfs which could showcase more of her prowess. Although she can literally sing any genre, she is/always has been a gospel singer at heart. You will often find a gospel element in of the songs she sings,even when you'd never think that a song could be done in this genre. If you want someone to take you to church then sohyang is your girl. I really urge you to see her performance of 'lean on me' on the show 'immortal songs', to say the audience were into this is an understatement. Michael Bolton was in the audience as a guest because the theme of that weeks show was 'songs of MB'. The camera panned to him during the performance & it was obvious he liked what he was hearing & was seen clearly mouthing 'WOW' at one point. When they went to him at the end of the performance for his comments he was literally speechless & had to compose himself but when he did he then said that sohyang's performance was 'spectacular' & that she had taken the role of 'virtuoso'. He was so impressed that he invited her to sing with him when he was on tour & she has joined him on stage when he's been on tour in Asia. I've only just discovered your channel (thru my love of sohyang) so I dont know how much you know about this wonderful lady, but i'm sure you're about to be inundated with info about her life & why she's not the worldwide superstar that her voice surely merits but I think one of the most important things about her is that not only is she an amazing singer but she is a masterful arranger too & she is responsible for all aspects,lead vocals/backing vocals/orchestration, of all the songs she performs. So many people comment on the beautiful arrangment of a song while she's performing,totally unaware that it is sohyang her self that is responsible. Its one of her trademarks that if she's singing a cover song she will always change it somewhere to make it her own. The amount she changes it depends on a few things like how open the song is to be changed & the circumstances in which she's performing, sometimes she will change a song so much that its only just recognizable & other times she will make very subtle changes but she never just changes it for the sake of it,she only does it if it adds to the song & makes it better,she has never,in my opinion,ever made a song worse with her arrangements,she is far too respectful to that.
