I was a slave to porn about the same age 14-15 years old, I'm in my mid 20s, quit porn cold turkey and I have the same exact problems, intrusive thoughts and imaginations and dreams. I'm seeing your comment 10 months after... I trust the Lord is still keeping you. I can relate totally with everything you scripted. Mine was so perverse. It's a daily affair...many times a day. Life's stagnated, wavering relationship with Jesus...ups and downs and lots of disappointment. Whenever I tried to stop, Satan brought perverse dreams my way and I often found myself back at it soon afterwards. Being free for even a week is a miracle. I feel something is different now though...I feel the Lord is with me to take me years without a relapse. I'm 39 now and I probably began masturbating before 10 and pornography soon followed afterwards. Back when I was a kid, I sometimes just look out for loosely dressed women to keep in my imagination... carrying their look in my mind and masturbate with it😢... Mine has been the most perverse ever in my opinion. I pray that God continues to uphold me, and that I continue in prayers and loving study of His word fervently all my life. I've wasted probably half my life on this addiction and I feel vengeful towards it now...I just want to be filled with Holiness and consecration and separation unto God. May the Lord keep us from the pollution's of this world and keep kids of this generation safe. Parents are failing in their responsibility to make a godly seed out of their children as Malachi 2 reveals.

Praise be to God the Father and His Son our Savior, the Lamb of God whose blood washes us clean. Brother I am so happy for you. I have battled this lust for what seems like a lifetime and I'm only 34. I have seen and felt the unspeakable emptiness, darkness, and depths of this addiction and sin for what it truly is, and horror does not even begin to describe where that road leads us. By the grace of God I somehow have been made to see the fragility of life again, the precious nature of purity and the love offered us in the light of the Lord.

With such resolution, I believe the Lord is ready to help you. But I would like to share with you the things that have helped many people I know be completely free. The truth is God has the power and is willing to help you and save you from the bondage of sexual lust and any kind of immorality. That is why in Hebrews 4:16, He has told us to come before the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive MERCY and find GRACE TO HELP us in our time of need. In fact, verse 15 tells you that we do not have a high priest (Jesus Christ) who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are - YET HE DID NOT SIN. If you notice in verse 16, God is not just willing to show you mercy but also ready to give you the GRACE that will HELP you in this TIME OF NEED to be completely free. Besides the scriptures above, there are many scriptures that shows us God's willingness and readiness to help us when we DILIGENTLY seek His help. However, God also knows that after delivering you by the power of His Word/Spirit, that your enemy the devil is still prowling around like a roaring lion looking for a soul to devour (1 Peter 5:8). In fact, in Matthew 12:43-45, Jesus gave a teaching on what can happen to someone after deliverance. Try reading your Bible and praying everyday. Read some psalms, proverbs and then go from Mathew and run through the new testemant. Ride down a whole bunch of things you can prayer for then go through that list. Watch sermons from guys like John MacArthur, Steve Lawson, Paul Washer.. Try to minimize free time because idle hands are the devils workshop. Watch your friends and stay off social media. Pay attention to how you spend your time and schedule it. Every time you go through something you can pray about it. Don't make 'mental' prayers, you need to say things out loud. Go to a quiet place every time you feel under attack and pray about it. Keep scripture on you that you know is complete truth regarding the problems you're facing and stand on them. If you read your Bible and pray earnestly then you can be transformed. God Bless bro 🙏

I understand very well. I got the same. all I do… kneel and cry in front of Jesus. not with perfect words. only Jesus can restore me (I am broken), build up and heal! all I can do is hold on to Him. Every time I think back I did, it breaks me. But at the same time, for a grace. God could send me to hell. His grace has saved me. now i want to run from the sins (sexuality) even though i know it's my weakness, God is my strength. I can't fight this fight alone (I've done and failed myself too many times) now with God, I can conquer it!! Time to Seek God.. Everyday! If I miss one… I give space to the devil. I’m struggling too man I’ve been stuck in it for a long time and I recently God has put it on my heart so heavily and I’m trying so hard to be free but like you I can’t seem to escape it either. I understand that feeling of struggling to be free or seeing yourself going back to something you have resolved not to do again. I was once in a similar situation. Fortunately, God has freed me and has helped me a lot by the power of His Word, in my journey with Him as a Christian. So, let me share something that can help you win the battle. The truth is God has the power and is willing to help you and save you from the bondage of sexual lust and any kind of immorality. That is why in Hebrews 4:16, He has told us to come before the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive MERCY and find GRACE TO HELP us in our time of need. In fact, verse 15 tells you that we do not have a high priest (Jesus Christ) who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are - YET HE DID NOT SIN. If you notice in verse 16, God is not just willing to show you mercy but also ready to give you the GRACE that will HELP you in this TIME OF NEED to be completely free. Besides the scriptures above, there are many scriptures that shows us God's willingness and readiness to help us when we DILIGENTLY seek His help. However, God also knows that after delivering you by the power of His Word/Spirit, that your enemy the devil is still prowling around like a roaring lion looking for a soul to devour (1 Peter 5:8). In fact, in Matthew 12:43-45, Jesus gave a teaching on what can happen to someone after deliverance. Many people have been delivered by God in the past but some allowed the devil to get hold of them again. However, Jude 1:24 tells you that God is able to keep you from falling. God does this through the power of His Word. That is why He said in: • Psalms 107:20 - He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. The healing here talks about deliverance. • Psalms 119:9 - How shall a young man cleanse his way? His Word has the power to keep you from being defeated again after your deliverance. One thing is certain: the devil works with the instruments you make available to him to continue to hold you in bondage. Talking about lust and any kind of sexual immorality, the devil primarily uses your mind and senses to wage war against you. If you will check properly, you will notice the battle all starts with your mind. So, if you can keep your mind pure, you are on your way to winning this battle. To keep your mind pure, you need to watch out for the things you listen to, the things you watch, the company you keep, and the things you read. These are gateways through which our minds are fed. So, if you can fill your mind with the word of God, you are on your way to winning this battle. How do you keep your mind pure? • Remember the scriptures above in Psalm 119 (in fact, you can do well to read the whole of Psalm 119) • Also, Philippians 4:8 has given us a command that can help us fight the good fight of faith and constantly win the battle of the mind. It says, "Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things." Apart from the guideline above, the scriptures have given you more guidelines to help you win the battle in Joshua 1:8, Romans 12:1-2, Deuteronomy 6:4-9, etc. Finally, also very importantly, you need to keep watch the company you keep. 1 Corinthians 15:33 tells you: "Do not be deceived; evil company corrupts good manners". It can be disheartening to look back up at the height you reached before, then easy to hate yourself and despair. That despair is the devil's next weapon, more hideous even than perverse desire, for it enforces sin without reward, even betimes alongside a shade of false pride for reviling yourself so. Dismiss it. I believe this is what Jesus meant when he taught us to drink wine as his blood and eat bread as his flesh: to swallow his forgiveness in full knowledge of our own filthy undeserving state of wretchedness. God can forgive us, but first we must have the courage to accept his forgiveness. It is a draught more bitter than any this mortal world can brew. Drink the blood of Christ, face him in you soiled shame, and be washed clean. We all have failed a hundred times before, and will likely fail a hundred times again. Be stronger than your scars. Hi Tony, one way to win the battle against lust is by fighting with understanding else you will find yourself falling back to sexual sin. Below are a few things that can help you if you follow them. 1: Become born again if you are not 2: start attending a church where the truth of God's word is taught 3: read at least 5 chapters of the bible a day (study and take notes) 4: replace those things that constantly made you want to indulge in sexual sin example music, books, movies, friends etc and replace them with good ones such as godly friends, bible, christian music etc 5: Get an accountability partner who will help you stay away from these things. You can tell the persons when ever these urges come and they will uphold you in prayers and encourage you. 6: Lastly as you study the word of God, his word will purge you from all unrighteousness and as you fall in love with him, you will choose to please him than have few minutes of pleasure.
