This is a clip from the full sermon The Gospel pt. 1 - Pau l Washer_KZfaq kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jrSYoq6E05y2pKs.html ❤️❤️❤️Read this❤️❤️❤️ THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST What is the gospel? The word gospel literally means “good news” and occurs 93 times in the Bible, exclusively in the New Testament. In Greek, it is the word euaggelion, from which we get our English words evangelist, evangel, and evangelical. The gospel is, broadly speaking, the whole of Scripture; more narrowly, the gospel is the good news concerning Christ and the way of salvation. The key to understanding the gospel is to know why it’s good news. To do that, we must start with the bad news. The Old Testament Law was given to Israel during the time of Moses (Deuteronomy 5:1). The Law can be thought of as a measuring stick, and sin is anything that falls short of “perfect” according to that standard. The righteous requirement of the Law is so stringent that no human being could possibly follow it perfectly, in letter or in spirit. Despite our “goodness” or “badness” relative to each other, we are all in the same spiritual boat-we have sinned, and the punishment for sin is death, i.e. separation from God, the source of life (Romans 3:23). In order for us to go to heaven, God’s dwelling place and the realm of life and light, sin must be somehow removed or paid for. The Law established the fact that cleansing from sin can only happen through the bloody sacrifice of an innocent life (Hebrews 9:22). The gospel involves Jesus’ death on the cross as the sin offering to fulfill the Law’s righteous requirement (Romans 8:3-4; Hebrews 10:5-10). Under the Law, animal sacrifices were offered year after year as a reminder of sin and a symbol of the coming sacrifice of Christ (Hebrews 10:3-4). When Christ offered Himself at Calvary, that symbol became a reality for all who would believe (Hebrews 10:11-18). The work of atonement is finished now, and that’s good news. The gospel also involves Jesus’ resurrection on the third day. “He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification” (Romans 4:25). The fact that Jesus conquered sin and death (sin’s penalty) is good news, indeed. The fact that He offers to share that victory with us is the greatest news of all (John 14:19). The elements of the gospel are clearly stated in 1 Corinthians 15:3-6, a key passage concerning the good news of God: “For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living.” Notice, first, that Paul “received” the gospel and then “passed it on”; this is a divine message, not a man-made invention. Second, the gospel is “of first importance.” Everywhere the apostles went, they preached the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ. Third, the message of the gospel is accompanied by proofs: Christ died for our sins (proved by His burial), and He rose again the third day (proved by the eyewitnesses). Fourth, all this was done “according to the Scriptures”; the theme of the whole Bible is the salvation of mankind through Christ. The Bible is the gospel. “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile” (Romans 1:16). The gospel is a bold message, and we are not ashamed of proclaiming it. It is a powerful message, because it is God’s good news. It is a saving message, the only thing that can truly reform the human heart. It is a universal message, for Jews and Gentiles both. And the gospel is received by faith; salvation is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:8-9). The gospel is the good news that God loves the world enough to give His only Son to die for our sin (John 3:16). The gospel is good news because our salvation and eternal life and home in heaven are guaranteed through Christ (John 14:1-4). “He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you” (1 Peter 1:3-4). The gospel is good news when we understand that we do not (and cannot) earn our salvation; the work of redemption and justification is complete, having been finished on the cross (John 19:30). Jesus is the propitiation for our sins (1 John 2:2). The gospel is the good news that we, who were once enemies of God, have been reconciled by the blood of Christ and adopted into the family of God (Romans 5:10; John 1:12). “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” (1 John 3:1). The gospel is the good news that “there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1). To reject the gospel is to embrace the bad news. Condemnation before God is the result of a lack of faith in the Son of God, God’s only provision for salvation. “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son” (John 3:17-18). God has given a doomed world good news: the Gospel of Jesus Christ! The Gospel, only bible verses. heartcrymissionary.com/books/the-gospel-of-jesus-christ-tract/

@@RepentfollowJesus hello. Your response highlights the problem with the modern translation “bibles” and just how dangerous they are. I want to share with you (and everyone) something that I have discovered a while ago during my journey with Christ. Let me first preface this by saying a few things..... This may sound a bit offensive to some at first. I hope not, but it might. I say that because I too took offense when someone first mentioned this to me. Please reserve judgment for a bit and let me explain. It has to do with Bible translations. When I first began my walk with Christ, I was perplexed with the MANY different translations. I eventually settled on the NASB. It is the translation that a very well known and respected Pastor that I follow uses at his church, and one that is supposed to be among the “most literal translations”. Sounded good enough for me, so thats what I began using as my “go-to”. I also chose to compliment that with a NIV study Bible and a NKJV study Bible...... Now..... Fast forward a bit. One day I came across someone in my travels, and the topic of Bible translations came up. I quickly discovered that he was a member of the “dreaded” “King James Only” group. I had never come across this group before, and it honestly seemed a bit cultish to me at first. He began to tell me how all the “modern translations” had been corrupted and altered, and that the ONLY pure and true English translation was the King James. My response to him was something along the lines of..... “That’s ridiculous! There are a lot of legitimate translations. Many of them just have updated language that make it easier for a modern reader to understand” He went on to explain how even my beloved NASB and NIV (and many others) had been corrupted by unscrupulous translators and so forth. He continued, and said that even the New King James has been altered, and has dangerously changed Gods Truth. Ok..... So now I’m thinking that this guy must be crazy....... But I thought about it for a while. I then purposed in my heart that I wanted, above all else, the TRUTH. If what he was saying to me was actually true, I wanted to know about it, and it was worth the time it took me to find out! I decided to do some research on this topic. The short answer to what I discovered is that he was, in fact, CORRECT! There is a lot of VERY compelling evidence that the modern translations are, in part, corrupt and HAVE BEEN altered in a way that absolutely DOES NOT honor God, specifically attacking the Deity of Jesus Christ, His sinless perfection, The Trinity, and many other critical areas of Christian doctrine. To quote Matthew 13:28 “an enemy hath done this” Now I’m not going to try to convince you of this. But I do want to DESPERATELY URGE you to diligently take the time to look into this. Don’t brush this off as I almost did! Purpose it in your heart to seek Gods truth in this matter, no matter where it takes you! I promise you, it WILL BE worth it! I STRONGLY urge you to get and read the book “51 Reasons Why The King James: A Path From Doubt To Faith” by David W. Daniels. Seriously, everyone needs to read this book!!! It’s only $4.99 for the Kindle version on Amazon! About $17 with shipping if you want the paperback. **Also, MUST READ “New Age Bible Versions: An Exhaustive Documentation of the Message, Men & Manuscripts Moving Mankind to the Antichrist's One World Religion “ by G. A. Riplinger. ** It WILL change your mind!!!!! These books offer TONS of COMPELLING evidence to the King James Only stance! I can now say, without reservation, I am unapologetically a member of the King James Only group. After seeing the evidence in favor of that position, I can’t in good conscience go back. I just can’t. At times, I literally felt sick to my stomach as I saw how some passages of the modern translations have been altered, and the implications that those changes have. In the same way that when I came to know Christ, I felt compelled to tell others about the gospel, I now feel absolutely compelled to share this information with my brothers and sisters in Christ. This is SO IMPORTANT because there is SO MUCH error in people’s theology and it is being perpetuated by CORRUPT translations. On a side note, I used to think the King James was difficult to read. It absolutely is not! It’s beautiful, and I have never felt closer to Jesus during my Bible time, then I do while reading from The King James! Kindly consider my words. I hope this reaches each of you well! It WILL change your mind!!!!!

Salvation is by grace. Question is: Who gets the grace? *_Believers_* get the grace. Believers are those who (like Abraham, see James 2:20-24) act on their faith and obey God. Otherwise, faith is DEAD. Connecting the dots, Jesus is ■ "the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him" (Hebrews 5:9) What are we told to do? ■ "And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent" (Acts 17:30) Follow directions, and we'll receive His promised mercy: ■ "He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy." (Proverbs 28:13) Otherwise we'll perish, as Jesus warned: ■ "except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." (Jesus, in Luke 13:5) Peter makes it clear: come to repentance, or else perish: ■ "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." (2 Peter 3:9)

James 2:14-26 “What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? 17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. 18 ¶ Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. 19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. 20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? 23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. 24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. 25 ¶ Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? 26 ¶ For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”

Salvation is by grace through faith in Christ and his finished work ALONE. What is shown to prove you genuinely have faith in him is that there is fruit in your life. Doing good things will never save, but obeying the Lord and serving others from a place of love BECAUSE you have faith in Christ and have been saved shows your faith is genuine. This really shouldn’t be a hot topic. If you say you have faith in Christ yet there isn’t ANY fruit of that in your life, you are lying. Also, if you say you trust in Christ yet you actually rely on all the works and efforts you do like the people in Matthew 7:21-23 who didn’t have relationship with God but relied on their works for salvation you also are wrong.

@@MrKev1664 hello brother, I see where you are coming from but I believe we need to be careful where we place works. Those in Matthew 7 relied on their works, to which Christ said he never knew them and therefore they were condemned. John 3:36, 1 John 5:11, 1 John 5:13 and such show us that as believers we already have Eternal Life. This is because the eternal life resides in Christ. Doing works to be saved is not the Gospel as Paul made that very clear in Romans chapter 3,4 and 5 as well as in Galatians 3. Scripture tells us that we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus UNTO good works which God planned for us to walk in beforehand (Ephesians 2:10). We walk and live a life of fruitful living as a consequence of Eternal Life, not to obtain it. Something you work for isn’t a gift, but a debt owed to you (Romans 4:4). Walking in what is freely given to you is stewardship. Genuine believers will have fruit to show for it, as it is God that works in us to both desire and do that which pleases him (Philippians 2:13). He also strengthens us and empowers us to continue on the journey of faith, and he that began a good work is faithful to complete it (Philippians 1:6). God bless

The works being done were not sin as Jesus himself asked that we believe him form this very type of work but if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me and I am in the Father.” (John 10:38) *you say* John 3:36, 1 John 5:11, 1 John 5:13 and such show us that as believers we already have Eternal Life. *Response* This is because our garment of righteousness has been made clean and we have not defiled it with sin If you read John letter what he has written you will see we know we have eternal life because we obey God , this is who believers are this is who Children of God are. Indeed I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as refuse, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own, based on law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith; that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, *that if possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead.* *Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect; but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own.* Brethren, I do not consider that I have made it my own; but one thing I do, forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Let those of us who are mature be thus minded; and if in anything you are otherwise minded, God will reveal that also to you. Only let us hold true to what we have attained. Come to Christ

Paul made it clear that salvation is reliant upon God’s grace being extended through faith in Christ, and he also stated that since we are new creatures in Christ we are called to live as Jesus lived. True faith invokes something deeper. He is correct it is by faith alone. Now only God knows your heart but He did give you a scale to measure if you truly beleive. Faith without works is dead. Matthew 7:21‐23 speaks about doing the will of God. 1 John 3:1‐6 also goes into us continuing in wilful sin. That will be your indicator. Now repentance can be weak as Paul Washer states. God can build on that. This is sanctification to were we continue in our repentance. Doesn't happen overnight (if it does amen!!) but through time of learn God's will and Him restoring you. Mainly because sin is addicting and like any addict you need to detox from it. Heal, rest... Be still and know that I am God (Psalms 46:10)

When speaking of works. My thoughts goto a sense of works in a pre-justification and post-justification. One keeps us separated from God as this is not a requirement for salvation but only by faith in Christ when he calls on us. The other makes us holy through the process of sanctification and is required as proof of fruit in the Spirit as it is the Holy Spirit which sanctification comes from. To which can be our testimony of change / becoming a new creation in Christ. Let me try it again, turning to God to be justified for salvation is a 90° turn. The next 90° turn determines if the first turn was by faith or by works. Faith will draw you closer to God which is a 180° for glorification. Turning back to your willful sin means you are dead in your works and there was no faith. The caveat is when saved you will want to do good works. It becomes a desire of gratitude, knowing your unworthiness, it is because of Him not you. You will be conscious to sin / sensitive to it that you will want it removed from everything in your life (sanctification)

Romans 4 1 What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found? 2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. 3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. 4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. 6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, 7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

@TheBibleSays
@TheBibleSays 11 ай бұрын
@@champcampbell8393 Paul says "not by works" in several places. Once again we seem to have a conflict with James' "Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only." (James 2:24) "Works" refers to different things in different contexts. Works of the law. Good works or deeds done for others. Abraham's "works": his obedience. When Paul says "not by works" in Ephesians 2:9 the context is "good works" or deeds, as stated in the next verse, Ephesians 2:10. When Paul says "not by works" in Romans 3, 4 and 5 the context is "the works or deeds of the law. That context was established in Romans 3:20: ■ "Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin" (Romans 3:20) Unfortunately people take Paul's "not by works" out of context, then go on to assume works of any sort don't matter . . . but they are ignoring James and the works of Abraham. The present "faith alone" disaster is a result of taking Paul's "not by works" out of context and assuming Paul's "by faith" means just because you have faith. James and Hebrews shows us that by means of, or through faith, we see we have a choice: to obey, or to walk away. Believers are those who - like Abraham - act on their faith and obey. Otherwise, faith is dead. Do we really have to obey? Yes. Today Jesus is ■ "the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him" (Hebrews 5:9)

If you have Any confusion left as to what i am saying just ask, it makes you look argumentative for the wrong reasons. Remember the key of speaking of any of this is to gain souls into the kingdom of heaven and to clarify how we are actually saved stated by the holy bible. Feel free to reply with any other verses you may take out of context and if you need help understanding the difference between what is required and what is wanted by us lmk Remember required means MUST DO Wanted means what is desired from us.. Big difference. Anyway man hope you understand your confusion and feel free to talk about anything Biblically related and ask questions if you are confused on anything

For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God- not because of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. - Ephesians 2:8-10 Salvation is by grace of God, but it isn’t faith alone. Faith alone doctrine is false. What does it profit, my brethren, if a man says he has faith but has not works? Can his faith save him?* If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and in lack of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what does it profit? So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead. But some one will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I by my works will show you my faith. You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe-and shudder. Do you want to be shown, you foolish fellow, that faith apart from works is barren? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he offered his son Isaac upon the altar? You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by works, and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness”; and he was called the friend of God. You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone. And in the same way was not also Rahab the harlot justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so faith apart from works is dead. - James 2:14-26

Your good works can never save you, your righteousness is like filthy rags to God and no person will be justified before God by the law for all have sinned and fall short of God's glory. The only way to be saved is to place in your faith in Christ's death and resurrection. God sent His beloved Son to die for you in your place for your sins. If you place your faith in Him you will be saved, forgiven, and given the perfect righteousness of Christ credited to your account. And you will be born into God's family and start a new relationship Him, as He continues to perfect you and guide you until the day you die.

We were talking about this yesterday and It almost amazes me to know that there are plenty of scriptures stating works is part of the curriculum, then you have scriptures stating works are as filthy rags. Yet you still have to follow Mashiach’s rules, regulations, laws, and decrees! "f you say you love him keep his Commandments, how do you keep his commandments….you show him. Yahusha is the one telling us to do so. And then you see scriptures like this…. James 2:18 KJV “Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.” We can't just it here and voice "Saved by grace" and live any way we want there are still rules and laws we have to abide and they are called the moral law aka 10 Commandments because ABBA would say this….. Matthew 15:8 KJV “This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.” The 10 Commandments are the only laws from God by God that bounds the human race and puts us in check, plus they are written on our hearts so there's no way anyone can escaping them. We follow the moral laws each and every day consciously and subconsciously and we break them consciously and subconsciously. So Grace a free gift yes because that price is steep....very steep! Mashiach said to follow his Commandments if you law him, he wasn't saying that just to be say that, he said that so we show him verses running our lips. That verse is posted Matthew 15:8 is pretty much ABBA Yahusha saying talk is cheap you show me you love me. Hebrews 10:26 KJV “For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,” Anyway most Christians has no clue what Mashiach means by "SAVED BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH". We are living under his grace right at this second....the moment anyone of us knowingly sins especially sinning perpetually we automatically are at deep ends with ABBA. The Apostle Sha'ul/Paul says we have to go into immediate repentance. And we have to repent every day with our mouths aloud. If you are not repenting daily you are adding to the cup of ABBA's wrath. Mashiach conquered the grave, sin, and, death he never said to stop following his moral laws of course relying on his birth, life, ministry, death, burial, and almighty resurrection....HalleluYah! Ruach Ha’Qodesh Tova baraku Yahuah, ha' me' verach l'olam vaed, asher natan lanu pathach ha'malchuth shamayim B'Mashiach Most are you oh God forever and ever for giving us a doorway to your Kingdom of Heaven in Messiah. ….this is a free ride in Mashiach Yahusha/Messiah Jesus….just don't mess it up. Sorry about the Hebrew outburst I’m Ethiopian Messianic Jew so we speak a different dialect of Hebrew not the moder Yiddish Hebrew. We speak the Paleo Hebrew and Aramaic. Anyway sometimes the Ruach Ha’Qodesh/HolySpirit grabs hold and takes you for a ride…..HalleluYah

@@Yakar-Yaoh.6651 You are not dividing at all , you are combining. Not all verses are directed towards the same groups of people at the same time periods. Example 2: Matthew 4:23 King James Version 23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. Different gospel. Im not against works and a Christian will do them but they do not save us ,you even said it yourself.If you know the verse, a Christian after getting saved is SEALED with the Holy Spirit untill the day of redemption, not untill he stops showing good works. Anyways, there are many different gospels for different time periods and the current one for this dispensation is faith alone in Christ alone, next one is 7 year tribulation, where people get saved in Lord Jesus but they also have to refuse the mark.

I wish Christians would not learn nor study the Bible in the Western Secular World view, and actually Learn and study the Word of God in the perspective of the Jewish writers. This is one too many fails the West lacks and we Blair bad Theology. So your saying if an individual is sealed yet has an issue of being tempted or is struggling with something in their lives your saying that person person is sealed no matter what they do? I’m sorry the Work of GOD does not teach that. Revelation 3:15-16 King James Version 15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. You said some scriptures are for certain people and at for certain time periods…that would be incorrect my friend. Psalm 90:2 King James Version 2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. Psalm 12:6-8 King James Version 6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. 7 Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. 8 The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted. Matthew 5:18 King James Version 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Last time I checked Heaven and earth is still here!!!! Galatians 3:28-29 King James Version 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. Are you not of Abraham’s seed? If you are every word in this book pertains towards did you and the gentile. Yes the Midrash, Halakhah, Mishnah, and many other Manuscripts are specifically for the Yahudi/Jew I get that, but most of the scriptures we have been exchanging were from the New Covenant/New Testament. And the majority of New Testament rules, regulations, laws, and decrees apply to both Jew and Gentil. Beside if you are a Christian and you accepted Jesus as your savior you are no longer a Gentile, unless you are still considering yourself as a Heathen….Gentile translates into Heathen. You have been graphed in according to the Apostle Sha’ul/Paul…. Romans 11:24 KJV “For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?” IM SURE YOU UNDERSTAND THE IMPLICATIONS OF BEING GRAFFED IN THE OLIVE TREE CORRECT? I’ve sent you scriptures after scriptures stating. Ephesians 2:8-9 King James Version 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. Also…. James 2:18 KJV “Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.” This is rightly dividing the scriptures my friend. If you see these last two scriptures as a contradiction then you might want to ask the Holy Spirit to reveal what they both mean. I do not see any contradiction in these two scriptures because I understand them and I know we do have to maintain right livening through the HolySpirit to make ourselves approved while on this earth. All I can say if a so called Christian that’s saying they are (Born Again) and still struggling with sinning perpetually and not repenting you will be cut off. I don’t know where todays Christian’s mindset is, but the price of your soul through Jesus with very costly and he want us to WORK by showing him we love him we just can sit back and voice "I love Jesus"! Matthew 15:8 King James Version 8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. This verse is basically telling us to show him we love him. Too many Christians get wrapped up in the PROGRESSIVE CHRISTIANITY OR EITHER THE NEW AGE CHRISTIANITY and think there’s going to be no work involved to make yourself approved well keep with your same mentality. All I can do pray the HolySpirit reveals to you my friend and by all means get away from the Progressive and New Age Churches if you are involved. They all teach a different gospel.

Do you Understand those Rules, Regulations, laws, and Decrees are in fact bound to right Christian living. Do you understand the blood that was shed was to conquer Sin, and Death/Grave. There are still things we must do as Christians. What I do to maintain a personal relationship with Mashiach is Pray & Fast, meditation on his words from the gospels, go out into the world and preach the gospel to every creature to be a witness to the lost. I do so that Mashiach knows I’m not ashamed of the sacrifice through his HolySpirit. All that I mentioned is part of the WORKS OF THE SPIRIT BECAUSE WE AS CHRISTIANS SHOULD WANT TO DO THESE THINGS. We Christians can’t sit back at the swimming pool with a cold toddy in hand and expect not to put in work to make ourselves worthy of that sacrifice. I don’t know about you my friend I love the sacrifice so much that I want to do what’s right in the eyes of the one whom died for me. If that’s to show him I’m worthy I will show him I’m worthy. You forgot 'repentance'. After the Holy Spirit descended upon the crowd, the crowd asked Peter what they do to be saved. Acts 2:37-39 " Now when they heard they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men brethren, what shall we do?” Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the [k]remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”

God chose His children since before the world 🌎 began. He declared the end from the beginning. His elect will hear his voice.

Thank you for this, I have been struggling with salvation for so long feeling that I have been a failure at being a Christian.

If you still live in sin then yes you are failing But the battle of being Christian is not a one day thing It's continuous and we persevere so that we may receive our crowns of glory song Christ when it is done
