To a reporter: "So they don't know if it was an accident or he committed suicide?"
To the crew: "Obviously he either committed suicide or he fell"
Interview: "The fact that they're looking for a body here is just really show"
"I'm not really too concerned about what people think about me... our clients are whales"
It's nice that Watson always has this excuse about "whales" whenever he wants to espouse hate rhetoric or take pleasure in somebody else's death.
Of course it begs the question why Watson only attacks Japanese hunting the most abundant whales, minkes -- which have never been endangered.
It's nice that Watson starts with condolences, but his true sentiments come out soon enough:
"Apparently Hajime, an engine room oiler on the Kyoshin Maru No. 2 a scouting ship for the Japanese whaling fleet, went outside at night by himself dressed only in coveralls. He never came back inside.
There are three possibilities. He accidentally fell overboard. He was pushed or he committed suicide. We will probably never know. What we do know is that he is the third fatality suffered by the Japanese whaling fleet since 2007."

Watson claims there was no distress signal, but that's a blatant lie. Not only was there a distress signal, but SS didn't respond to it.

And not only that, but Watson decided that running straight through their search grid and interfere with the navigation of a NON-LETHAL research vessel, Kyoshin-maru, in order to get a Photo-Op.
You have to be seriously sick in the head to take pleasure from other's deaths in this manner.

They proceeded to continue trailing the Kyoshin-maru, inhibiting the search for it's lost crew member into the next day.

This isn't the first time Watson has taken pleasure in the deaths of others either.
