After experiencing a malfunction with one of their small boats, some of the Bob Barker's crew are left stranded in the Antarctic ocean awaiting rescue. Spending 10 hours in the freezing cold means they are at high risk of hypothermia if they aren't rescued soon.

White Rose Society they are not illigal whalers. International laws only apply to countries that sign the treaties, Japan and most of Asia didn't. They are operating within the laws of their home countries. Piracy under the international treaty, which every country has signed clearly says any attempt to take, damage, interfere, or board a boat without legal authority or consent is piracy. Theft doesn't even come into the equation. Just harassing it is legally piracy.

they are idiots, they have 2 x 150hp heat pumps strapped to the back of there boats. if they are to stupid to work out how to use the hot water shooting out the back of them to warm up then they shouldnt even have this job. they shouldnt be out there. they arent sailors they are posers with no skills. but lets not forget there was nothing wrong. they were fine. it was just sensationalised bullshit. those boats have self draining decks while underway and cant sink. they are just a bunch of people with no actual skills at the job they are tasked to do.

Seriously the easiest method of preventing this is to prep properly. The second best method is cover all canopy. Having a pop up device to enclose the boat will trap heat very quickly, especially if there are more than 3 on the vessel.

Lowering quotas is kind of your only option unless if you choose to sink the whaling fleet or do some other action, the problem is the fact that the sea shepherds are acting alone against a government, which unless your a government you likely won't get very far.

Did I miss something before this video? How did they become stranded? Common sense would tell you, these people should sit tightly together to conserve body heat. The one in the worst condition should be in the center. Apparently, they do not have much common sense. So, what the hell happened? You leave us hanging, again. @@viperx5live342 yes, the risk of hypothermia does increase as time goes by, but in relatively "high" temps and judging by the clothes they're wearing, hypothermia is not a real risk before about 23 to 25 hours.

Sea Shepherd need to go to Russia or Iran and buy some Torpedo on the Black marked so they can sink this Whaler ships, and get more faster ships them self, and more powerfull ships them self, so they can out run them and run in to the whale ships, bild 20-30'' armor in the fromt of the ships and run them over, whaler ships do only understand vilens them self. i will go for the torpedoes, or mines in the water, sail infront of the big ships and frow the mine in the water infront of them so you blow a big big holl in whale ship, then it will take alot of water inside and sink or need to go back home with no whales.

Yhea, except that would be an act of war or open piracy... what about just some huge underwater echosonar to fuck up the whales sonar communication system to push them away, then just huddle and follow the whalers, letting those huge frequencies rip and scaring the whales away. No prop/rudder breaking, no acid attack. Nothing that could be described as piracy, yet, succesfully stopping whalers from whaling. The equivalent of playing tuba next to a deer hunter. Not offensive action, just acting on freedom and liberties to play music...in the forest...next to a hunter *shrug*
