Pretty, even if you miss the horn section and the rhythm is not as pressing as the original. It seems to have been played with the handbrake on

Band sounds great but I do prefer the song at the original tempo. I put the video playback speed on 1.25x, makes it sound right.

Absolute Beginners. A total turkey. Patsy Kensit. From the Colin McInnes novel about 60s Lomdon. A favourite writer of Paul's but sadly the film was very poor.

The original song was called "With Everything To Lose" and it was a track on the 1985 album "Our Favourite Shop". It had a heartbreakingly beautiful lyric about the oppression of the working class in Thatcher's England and all around the world. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bryAbNWrl92vk5c.html
