She was BRILLIANT singing with Peter Gabriel on his tour. I'm so glad she did that. Search for "Secret World", Peter's tour, and you'll see Paula showcased for the first time. That was her launch. Paula is so humble, I really love her.

I caught the broadcast where Paula Cole sang "Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?" on Rosie's show in April of 1997. That's where the memory has settled-in for me. That song was one of several, solid songs that really drove the Summer of 1997 now twenty-two years ago in the rearview mirror.

I saw Paula Cole the 1st time live in November 1993 on Peter Gabriel`s "Secret World"-tour - i think it was her 1st live show in front of bigger audience

Paula wrote “I don’t want to wait” when she realized her grandparents were aging and no longer able to do what they wanted etc, so it’s a pretty personal song. When Rosie’s show put it up on the speakers, they all laugh and sing along and have fun, but interesting to think about how personal the song is to Paula.

My granma says that Rose ODonnell really wore that hat for serious and not as a joke. I said oh it must have been the style in the old days and she said no, it looked as weird then as it does now. My granma says she dressed like Macdonna in high school, and NOT Rosey!!!!

She’s from Rockport, Massachusetts, just north of Boston where there were and still are a lot of Irish but she’s 50% Irish/Northern Irish, 25% 👁-talion, and 25% Polish
