Model Jaguar Mk 10 No. 28 was produced in the years 1964-1968. The biggest difficulty was painting with metallic varnish, because the gun nozzle was clogged with metal particles. I also made epoxy resin glass because the original one was cracked

My Dad had a Mk10 back in the day which I just about remember... It was light blue, he called it, "The Aircraft Carrier." Great work restoring!

W czasach, kiedy nawet nowe rzeczy lądują na wysypisku, widzę tu wspaniałą robotę. Połączenie znajomości pracy z materiałami, "złotej rączki" i artysty. Sam kleję modele, mam trochę "prezentowych" Matchbox - ów ale odnawianie starych resoraków i przywoływanie wspomnień jest super. Trzymam kciuki za ten kanał!

Yes, external color is a personal aspect. I would've gone darker: brandywine, black cherry, forest green, even gloss black! Endgame? Beautiful!

I had this model, thought Matchbox was at their best. My favourite was the Routemaster No. 5, loved them all really from the 60's. Great restoration and those boxes are just fantastic. The model was in bad shape at the start looked very sad...result beautifully restored.

Very nice work. Great colour match and looks superb. Did the suspension spring work all right for you? The spring plastic was quite stubborn on my example. I taped mine to a straight edge, and soaked in very hot water to soften it. The first attempt it went back to the sagged position - after it cooled down. Hit it again with very hot water, and worked better 2nd time, but not perfect.

This plastic was not very suitable for springs. I warmed up to over 100 degrees but I did it very carefully because during the renovation of the Ford Mustang I crossed the plastic flow limit and had to add a new spring from a different material. Generally speaking, after such heating it works very well. I don't know how long. Best wishes

@@PaulRestorer Yes, melting the spring is a worry, when heating up the plastic. Matchbox changed to copper or steel springs in later Superfast, so even Matchbox knew sagging was a problem. I'm fixing all my sprung Matchbox, as I don't want the Lo Rider look. They roll better when the spring is working.

Jasne że zdradzę. Kupiłem go 10 lat temu w firmie Mar spółka jawna. prawdopodobnie przez internet .On nie ma żadnej nazwy. jest to niskociśnieniowy pistolet z małą dyszą. Z tego co mi wiadomo niestety tego modelu już nie nie produkują. ale Odszukaj firmę Mar w internecie i na pewno kupisz lepszego następcę Pozdrawiam serdecznie
