Career transition is difficult but career transition in 30s is the most difficult. Mid 30s career change can be challenging for many reasons. New career in 30s can be daunting because after age 30 career options dwindle. For IT employees the situation of career after 30 is much worse than folks in any other industry. If you are looking to aim for career change after 30 or career change after 35, then this video will give you a better perspective on it. Career change after college or even career change at 25 can be challenging but since career options after 30 reduce for many employees, career change in 30s becomes more difficult.
According to many popular upskilling sites, a lot of folks opting for upskilling courses have more than 8 years of experience which is in their 30s. Career change after 30 becomes difficult but because of the advent of Generative AI and the changes it has brought in the market, career change at 45 years old or career change after 35 becomes difficult. Many folks in their 30s opt for a career change after burnout. Since the corporate life struggle gets much more intense after the age of 30, their chances of successful career transition after 30 reduce further.
So, what can you do to achieve mid 30 career change? First of all, you should figure out what are your likes and dislikes. When I was transitioning in my career, I made the non-negotiables very clear for myself. I wanted to spend more time with my family during my mid 30s career transition. For you those non-negotiables can be very different but still it is important to keep them in mind while you are planning your career transition after 30. Another thing you need to keep in mind is figuring out your likes and dislikes.
You ned to focus on picking up the right role models who can help you in identifying the potential pitfalls, if any. Next on the list for successful career change after 30 is building the right network. You need to build the right network and leverage the strength of such a network if you are willing to execute successful career transition after 30. Hope you find this video valuable, see you in the next one.

Going through this right now. Took a whole year off (Career Break). Still haven't been able to figure out what I want to do next. Sometimes I contemplate going back to IT, but thinking about it again scares the hell out of me !!!

I am working in a bank and have seen many business men who are successful and have crores of net worth. What i have observed in all of them is more than family or anything they focus on their business. The point here to take is if want to have both you must be ready to accept trade off or have a bigger vision of developing yourself so that it can be helpful for your family in the future.

I can feel this each and every words. As he said by the time you spend 8 to 9 years, either you should be the kind of go to person in your organization or you should have command over your skills! So that you are in demand always. But IT is changing so rapidly. AI, ML, IoT are not everyone's cup of tea. So how to upskill and have a good career path? I have been working in Business analyst domain, want to progress in to Product owner role, eventually one fine day as Product management roles. Anyone can shed some lights?? He talked about networking in this video😅 let's have a productive discussion here fellas 😂
