Still learning, have another video in mind to do and oddly one of the advanced tips would be to *turn virtual stock back off* as stable as the gun is once you've gotten skilled enough the extra maneuverability and snappiness makes a big difference. So much nuance and complexity to this game, I love it. Really glad the video helped, lemme know your psn and ill look out for you ✌️

@doneforever8 ай бұрын
@@harmleyten4 would like to think after 900 hours I'd be in the same camp. Though tbh I'm too drawn to the 50cal, it's viable but never gonna be *that* viable. Managing 3k/d with it on good days. Can only imagine I'll smash the crap outta one of the controllers if I used a stock... I'm very... 'enthusiatic' with my speed reloading lol. Wouldn't mind trying a stock tbf, and until then I guess I can't really have too much of an opinion as I haven't used one.

💯 I found this tip buried in a reddit thread when scouring for any extra tips. Absolutely a game changer. Also recently discovered a couple nuances to OITC: getting a kill with your knife without using the gun gives you an 'extra mag'. Running the knife first also really catches people off guard as they just run at you if you're not holding the gun 😄

Thank you for this video it helped a lot as I am new to this game and to psvr! Still working out the motion sickness but slowly getting better and better
@doneforever10 ай бұрын
The motion sickness will improve over time as you 'find your legs'. Some games are much worse than others for it, but it definitely does improve with repeat plays. There's some great VR2 games to check out if you haven't already, Pistol Whip may be a bit overwhelming at first but the motion is purely forwards and the gunplay is phenomenal fun. GT7 is also a phenomenal experience and a lot of folk say they play it better in vr. Not sure if being seated will help with the sickness but Pavlov being standing only and so active you're probably jumping in the deep end there. Best of luck on the field ✌️

@doneforever Жыл бұрын
Gonna find out now. TBH I've had the headset vibration disabled since launch as it really affects PW accuracy.
@doneforever Жыл бұрын
Just did a few rounds. Can confirm there is head rumble, I think only when shot in the face. Its not quite as powerful as in PW but definitely noticeable.
@TomiTom1234 Жыл бұрын
@@doneforever Thanks, but the effect blew my mind when I tried RE8 and shot with sniper or shotgun, it gave me that realism feeling. But what does PW mean exactly?
@doneforever Жыл бұрын
Sorry PW - Pistol Whip. Its a fantastic game BTW you should see a recent vid on my page if you scroll down. You may actually enjoy the haptics in that game - essentially it's a John Wick simulator where you shoot superhot type enemies to high energy music. The impact of getting shot in the face (the only place you can get shot) is really punchy and with the crisp audio it's an assault on the senses, you can even feel the bullets passing by as they nearly miss.
@doneforever Жыл бұрын
I'd probably venture as far as to say Pavlov has so far been the most 'realistic' - In terms of physics, handling and real world setting. I mean the gore is ridiculous and there's plenty of potential for daft/unreal moments but if you appreciate immersion I'd recommend Pavlov.

Are you using the analogue stick to select? That's the correct input... Testing the analogue input in another game or even the PS menu should help narrow down if a controller issue.

How do you control the predator properly in hide mode? Do you aim were you want to jump before lunging? And when you attack do you lunge with arms out or swipe at players with the blades?
@doneforever Жыл бұрын
That's a good question, honestly my gaming time has been sapped up with the base modes. TTT is just wtf 🤷♂️ (someone needs to make a video) and prop hunt I still haven't figured the controls yet. Hide all I know is you can click trigger near ear and shout or make weird noises to freak players out and there's a lunge button on both controllers which makes jumping and orienting yourself a bit easier. Gonna have to hop on later and figure this out properly. Will let you know what I find.

Amazing vid! I just got the game on PSVR2 but i cant get my mic to work. 😢
@doneforever10 ай бұрын
Is it muted? You can set the pass through button to work as a mic on/off in vr2 settings. Also Pavlov has proximity based chat meaning to address the lobby you have to pull the trigger near your head (empty hand ofc). Otherwise it could be faulty, best bet would be to contact Sony if you can't find a solution online. Hope it works out.

Tbh since making this video I had intended to make another one, I would after a certain period of play definitely recommend disabling virtual stock, they definitely handle more realistically and you can blindfire which is seriously useful. @doneforever7 ай бұрын
As in just playable with the left hand only? I have a lefthanded friend who plays amazingly but using both hands.
@manuelkimpel37887 ай бұрын
@@doneforever well I can't move my right hand very fast so to be safe I wanna know it is possible to play it with just one hand. So far I have had a really bad experience reloading a weapon. That was the most reason that a shooter game became unplayable for me. I wish there is an option to replace it with a single key like a regular Non-VR game.
@doneforever7 ай бұрын
@@manuelkimpel3788 I feel this is likely not going to be the right game choice for the most part. It's very reload centric and there's zero option for automatic reloading. In its defence, the handling is consistent once you have muscle memory with grab areas and the mechanics, but I'd say most modes would present a big hurdle if you wanted to reload quickly. GUN game is quite handy as mostly you'll get the kill before needing to reload but that changes near the 16 kill mark with snipers. For what it's worth ALVO may be a much more viable option, it's faster paced but there's a heap of accessibility features in the game and thankfully automatic reloads too. I'd feel much more comfortable giving ALVO the recommendation than Pavlov but I don't see why Pavlov wouldn't be playable, just probably quite frustrating. Hope this helps.

I'd highly recommend enabling the auto run feature so you don't have to keep clicking each time you stop running.

@doneforever5 ай бұрын
The game never explicitly explains this is meant to be played standing. It is possible to play seated but requires setting player height in settings. There is no crouch button hence you're supposed to physically crouch when desired, if you're constantly crouching try standing in your playspace and reset guardian (hold options). You cannot run with your gun aiming in front of you, there is a setting that allows auto run so you don't need to keep clicking the run stick in, but you still have to aim the gun towards floor to enable running. It can be super jarring to get your head round initially but persevere it does "click" If you're still struggling with the settings feel free to add me (psn Daftbomb) and invite me when you're next on and we can play a PM and figure out what's causing you issues?
