Fun fact, one of the buyers that pumped up the price of these games was the owner of heritage auctions. Heritage owner was the owner of the grading company that caused the coin bubble of the 1980s. Heritage and Wada are both connected before Wada was created. It’s a scam to push up prices and make their games they purchased before Wada launched for 1000 times profits.

The CEO of WATA who graded the game is Deniz Kahn as seen in the clip. The original owner of the game who purchased the game for around $2000 off Ebay in or around 2012. The original owner is on WATA's advisory board (coincidence #1). In Feb 2019 he sold it (for $100,150) to a syndicate of five people - two of which are personally invested in WATA including one on it's advisory board (coincidence #2). That individual is Jim Halperin co-founder of Heritage Auctions who, surprise surprise, auction off WATA graded games (coincidence #3). In the clip we see one of the syndicate Richard Lecce walk in wanting $1,000,000 for it. So who walks in to authenticate it's value? - his friend Deniz Kahn who earlier in the year had one of his advisory board value the game at $100,000 (coincidence #4). According to the co-founder of Heritage Auctions it is going to now be stored in the Heritage vault for the time being. Judging by Heritage's past record with inflated sales (not helped by their morally suspect "house bidding") and current conflicts of interests (such as having personal and/or financial interests in grading companies that influence market values) I wouldn't be surprised if it fetches a fantasy price with a little help from those who have already had a history with the game."

Why are they wearing gloves if the item has already been encapsulated? (Even the seller wasn't wearing gloves 🤷‍♂️)

im guessing this was in the last 12 months. nobody was in the store besides them and they were standing further apart than usual, and the gloves of course. but that doesnt explain why the seller didnt wear any so who knows.

@@royfokerpoker1802 Look at 0:20. They didn't have that shield/divider thing up before Covid. A bunch of stores put that up to stop people coughing/sneezing or spreading germs as much after Covid. And this is Season 18, which started in November 2020. This was likely after Covid first hit, even if filmed months beforehand. The biggest piece of evidence is definitely that germ shield/divider which they never had up before. Maybe you didn't notice it because it's so clear it barely shows up on camera unless you see the frame of it in a wide shot. You can also notice when they pass the game back and forth they have to pass it through the opening below the shield.

@DeathBringer769
@DeathBringer769 2 жыл бұрын
That's how a pawn shop usually works. You're going to get like half value, if you're lucky. I know some local pawn shops that just assume everyone is a desperate, strung out, drug-addicted fool and will offer you like $15-25 for something they look up online and see selling consistently for $500, lol. Compared to that, Pawn Stars actually gives people decent money for pawn shop standards. You go there for quick, hard cash -- not when you want to wait it out, go through the effort/time and get full value from it.

Mike Tyson's Punch-Out was my all-time favorite Nintendo game. I used to sit for hours and play it, or until the game crashed and I had to take the cartridge out, blow in it, and put it back in. Sometimes I even had to wedge a foam ball in the console to hold the cartridge down.
