you live on the wrong map at least 2 of the 4 maps have pure iron inside PvE zone, look for gray white rocky areas, no querry or nothing just there between all the normal iron nodes, but there is a little fight for the nodes its all about timing

There is some pure iron mineral deposits in the PVE areas. I was able to get some myself. It does exist. The nodes say Pure Iron Deposit. Not a lot of nodes, mind you, but it does exist. Cursed lands.

The problem with Steel is that while you can make the furnace that creates the steel ingots at a fairly low level, the Bellows you need to work the steel requires Fine Boiled leather which unlocks at Leatherworking level 32 (not to mention needing 60 steel ingots to make the steel anvil head). However weapon and armor recipes in the 20s call for steel. At blacksmith level 27 you can use the furnace to turn iron ore into pure iron ore, but if it's like turning impure iron ore to iron ore it will take 50 iron ore and 200 coal to get 5 ingots of steel. However going to steel the requirements could be higher.

They are in the same area where iron ore spawns. If you are in Kerys, I would try bottom of the map just right of center. Cursed lands. The area I found the pure iron in had Iron ore, tin, and copper mineral deposits. If you are seeing impure iron deposits you are in the wrong place. They will also not be near the quarries.

you can find pure iron in pve zone ONLY in Ancien and Inis Gallia, in a specific zone ( in the meteorite like zone on the map ) and when you've found and walked to one of theses zones, you need to look up to EVERY iron like ore to see if it's a regular or a pure one. It's time consuming For example my base is in Kerys - Llydaw, i dont have this zone on my map so i need to walk 1h15 to the zone in Inis Gallia and then to have the inventory full of pure iron it takes another 4h and then tp back shrine. Total 5+hours just collect some pure iron and then you need 200 charcoal for every 10 ingots thats aother story too 👀

Where you entered Ancien there is a rumor that if you go immediately to the right and follow the bottom of the map (between the water and the bottom of the mag) you can fine pure iron nodes. I've not been there as i had trouble with the haunted forest. And that other gate to the east leads to the PVP zone.

The idea for the lack of ore is to create the need for trading, considering this is a social MMO. I have to travel 30 minutes North into the Wildlands to find the only nodes in the entire INNIS GALLIA province, others are traveling 2 hours, but that's designed like that per the devs. I will say that areas that don't have any ore need to have an item that is equal or of greater value than metal.

I don't think there is enough players yet to worry about being ended in the PVP area.

I didn't think there were PVP servers. Just the PVP zone: Lyonesse.

i think maybe higher level 20 something u can make steel with the lower iton ore but wont be easy combines

the game really pushes you to go into the pvp area......unless you wanna spend like 35 hours just trying to find and mine pure ore.

Thank you for confirming the special ore is only in PVP area.... saves me wasting money on the game.. thanks for insight...
