I especially like how the unready button was highlighted so heavily in this update, as if it was hard to implement. it seems to be a significant feat of pure grit, sheer effort, from the devs. was it really that hard? its kinda funny how such a minute QoL feature that if im not mistaken was in PD2 at launch took 5 whole months to add in a supposedly modern game.

Sad how great Payday 3 could've been. They'll fix it I'm sure but this could have really been something extremely unique and special....

What I still believe is that it didn't take long to add this things since December. It took this long because someone higher up in SBZ finally changed mind. Operation Medic Bag was announced on February 15 and you have February 29, which is exactly 14 days, which is pretty fast. If they keep updating the game every week or two, maybe three depending on if the upcoming feature will be big or not. So, reality (in my opinion) is that it took 14 days to update the game BUT it took 65-79 days to finally get Green Flag to be able to update the game

They definitely need to keep the updates somewhat frequent. Going radio silent for months with little to no new content/updates especially with what they gave us at launch is very not good. Payday 3 has the foundation of a fun game (game looks beautiful, movement and guns are good) but in my opinion no reason to actually play the game. The rewards for playing a heist are similar to if you went to rob a bank and the only thing you stole was their container of lollypops they give out for free. (A lot of stuff locked behind a high amount of C-Stacks that coast an absolute crap ton of money to get). Also I hate the armor/health system especially combined with the waves system. You have to rely on armor/health drops while fighting a never ending wave after what felt like not too long of a time. Also apparently if everyone in the lobby hit ready or you’re solo and hit ready you can no longer unready. I have been playing Helldivers 2 on my laptop and that has been a blast excluding my laptop wanting to die. I can’t wait to have my PC up and running again (my bedroom was one of the like 4 rooms destroyed by water damage from a storm ripping our roof off like a month ago).

Still waiting for the new armor type they have been talking about. I will still never forgive whoever thought permanent armor damage was a good idea

I've not played Payday 3 since November I think. Didn't play the Syntax update. It's disappointing cos I tried Payday 2 after Payday 3 went down and didn't like 2 that much. I much prefer the gameplay of 3, I find it to be a better game, in terms of the actual root of the gameplay. But everything else is garbage. The fact is, it's not a game, yet. It's not a working game. If they do the updates they've planned, Payday 3 MAY be a real game worth the amount of money I paid for it this September, 2024. It came out a whole year too early. And unfortunately, while people are consistently and rightly calling out Payday, it feels like people aren't talking, as much, about how predatory gaming is becoming. Eeking out little updates for lots of money every 4 or 5 months is way more lucrative than them just creating a good game and so that's what we're going to get. Payday 3 is getting shit, some other games are getting shit, but in 5 years, it's just going to be normal. That's what worries me. But I have no intentions of playing Payday 3 again unless it becomes a real, working, game. And I'll learn from my mistakes and never buy a game day one again.

4-6 week waits for updates this small is just bad in my opinion. I'd be fine with this update if we get one like this every week, or 2 weeks at most.

Maybe in a year we will finally get out of beta and be and somehow releaseable state...

Weve been spoiled by live service games. We as a consumer all need to do is just wait at this point. Dont buy into it and just wait. Never buy immediately on launch. Never pre order. Im glad i havent bought into this game yet. Player sentiment MAY do a 180 around 2025 on this game so its all about being patient.

Honestly I'm not returning to Payday 3 UNTIL they implement an offline mode. That was what I said at the start. I like the way they're trying to go and the updates are neat. But it's fixing minutiae instead of fixing big things.

I think they added the unready button only now because it made the update feel a little bit more important to the game. They had nothing to show and that's how they solved that issue perhaps.

Game went out massively undercooked. How can you forget to add BASIC features that were in your LAST game, how do you UNLEARN game development? It would be stupid to assume that they're this dumb, so I'm guessing they were pushed really hard to release by the publisher.

Its not like they aren't listening to the community but it's just the way they're doing things is goofyaf that gives the community headaches. Except DRM I'll never forgive them for that.

Honestly, I'm waiting for quick play, loud/stealth modifiers, lobby chat, and in game friends list fixes. Most of all I'll jump back in once they get rid of challenges and just give us heist completion payouts. I'm burnt out on even trying to finish any more. I made it to 142...I just can't anymore. 🤣

Personally, my game works disgustingly on DirectX 12, I constantly encounter some visual artifacts (flashing shadows, for example) and fps drops. This is considering that normally on DX 11 I play on ultra settings without problems. Maybe it's because I have a GTX gpu.

I understand the frustration and i'm also a little frustrated but the patch should be a little more appreciated than it is currently by the community. You listed a lot of positive aspects in this video. But i think PD3 will have a great comeback... Probably though sometime after OP Medic Bag. We will unfortunately have to wait a little before we get what we want.

I booted up the game to check out the update there server issues couldn’t play it on release waited until today could finally login went to check my loadouts before joining a heist saw all my loadouts were reset to default closed the game then proceeded to play monster hunter world instead not much more needs to be said.

I think this update was meant to be more of an intermission update. Likely meant to give the community something to chew on so we don't have to wait, say, a total 8-9 months with nothing from Starbreeze. By then it'd definitely be too late. that being said, I'm mainly basing this off the 300+ bug fixes, as those don't come from nowhere.

A patch about fixes... has fixes. Even then, waiting for this patch, I look at this positively. Waiting for a patch is something a lot of people have to get used to. You included. Simple features that weren't added is bad yes, but if anything, that's because there was most likely a push for something than an actual game.

If the default controller settings were good enough, there'd be no need for customization. But more options are better.
