Thanks for this great video. I loved the long format. I wanted to ask you if we can edit a Word document for example simultaneously with other pCloud members and if this does not cause conflicted copies?

Really great video man. Maybe you could have said about the family plan. For example, would I be able to adjust the storage allocation for my families or are they stuck with the amount I give them at the beginning of sharing the 2TB?

Sorry for repeating questions. I am really grateful to you for this wonderful tutorial. I am new to pCloud (500GB Lifetime). I wanted to ask you if we can do a smart synchronization as Dropbox, in order to establish the difference between the files that I want locally on my PC and synchronized, and on the other hand: the files that I only want online on the website ?

Hi, Thank you so much for this wonderful video. It helps me understand more fully what I can do with my pcloud account. The pcloud drive features are great but as long as the up- and download speed is more than slow (between 3-5 Mb/s) I cannot really work with it for larger files.

Thanks for the great video. I was wondering if its possible to use the pCloud folder in Windows to upload files, but then somehow free up space on the device so it remains in the cloud. I have a tablet with limited local storage. Can it be done ?

I am a client of pCloud and do not recommend their platform. I have recurring problems synchronizing, and they do not provide: 1. a Download / Upload queue screen 2. a Log file How is it possible that synchronizing software does not implement these features? You have no idea at any time what the software is doing! There is no way for you to debug anything because there is no queue or log file. Also: 3. every time I connect an external hard drive, it uploads the data again and again. 1 Terra byte of upload, every time I reconnect this drive.

Hello, Thank you very much for this full in deep review, everything is much more clear now. If I understood correctly, when you use pCryto folder, you do not have a local copy of this folder ? Right ? Is there any other way to have a secure encrypted local and cloud folder ? I want to store some crypto money informations securely.

Hi Maurizio! Many thanks for this great review. I need a cloud that help me sync files between my Personal Macbook computer and my Windows PC at work. The downside is that at work I am not allowed to install the desktop version of the pcloud softward, so I would need to work online all the time and I am looking for the most suitable service.....so you think pcloud is still for me? Is it difficult to use without the desktop version so online all the time? Thanks for the guidance!

Is there a way to synchronize a network attached storage folder to a pCloud folder? It seems only direct attached drives to the computer are supported. And this is frustrating since I keep a copy of my files on a NAS.

Why are my photos synced from my android phone being saved individually, not in the folders they are in on my phone gallery? My photos are a total mess, all crammed together old/new photos all mixes together...extremely frustrating when wanting to find a picture!

Really great video. I've just two questions: 1) ABOUT PRIVACY. Considering for example that my PC's account is named "John", when I login on PC with as "Administrator", can it see my pDrive data? 2) ABOUT MEDIA STREAMING. Does it support just MP3 or FLAC and M4A too ? Thank you very much

I'm thinking to switch from Google cloud to Pcloud, as I am now at the stage where I almost finished my free storage and I would need to pay monthly for more storage. With family account can me and my partner sync pictures directly from the mobile phone galler? And would I be able to sync all the pictures I have in my Google photo? Thanks

Hi and thank you for this video I watched. You talked a lot about features that I don't think I'll use, so I want to make sure the following purposes will work: I need cloud storage that I want for life to put numerous photos and videos from my 2007 Macbook Pro, 2013 Macbook Pro, and iPhone I'm about to upgrade.I also intend to add future photos and videos (that I take) to it, and other important documents from my laptops. I am afraid one of the aforementioned devices will give-out and I'll lose all my photos/important keepsake files with it. HELP! Will this product be the best one?

Please let me know if you found a solution. I have been going in circles with pCloud support for days trying to figure out how to turn-off the bi-directional synch feature. It seems that - by default - the pCloud Back-up feature has bi-directional synch set up (not sure if it also applies to the Crypto Folder). Like you I want to use pCloud as external HD/Cloud storage to back-up my laptops' files. I completed the back-ups for all files from 2 laptops and now I want to wipe the data from the laptops before bringing them to a recycling center. I am afraid that, with the synch feature on, all pCloud back-ups will be deleted when I delete my laptops' files.

Can I have all my file and important file un the pCloud and from there acces to my file, so in my computer I dont have any file and all the Space clean and free, or you dont recommend doing that?

The upload and download speed of pCloud is quite slow in my experience but other than that I still like pCloud :)

Mauricio, thank you for your job! It is great, detailed and useful review. One question from me: what do you think about pCloud Business like a business tool to storage data and sharing it with internal team, contractors and clients? Is it convenient for that? Do it has enough administration features?

It depends a little bit what you need to do. For me it has enough. I can give my staff a folder and have them invite people/contractors to it so that can upload files without needing a pCloud account. What exactly do you need to do?

@@Cloudwards I think it is quite typical needs: easylly storage, send and receive current projects information. Storage arhive of past projects with different access levels. Access management for a data in case of hiring or firing team members. Add additional storage space for users with 128-256 GB SSD. Common access to the knowledge base.

No. There's a folder only for Auto Upload from the phone. But u can make it as a photo folder for ur phone. That's what I do.

I know how to get a sharable link from PCloud but is there a way to get a direct link? I have a couple images on PCloud that I need to embed in Notion but when I take the sharable link and use the /image command to embed it in Notion it doesn't truly appear like a single image but more like an embedded browser tab.

Yes you can do this by enabling the Public Folder. As far as I know you have to do this from the web interface, I've never seen a way to do to it from the desktop apps. Go to the pCloud site and log in and go to Files > Public and enable the Public Folder. When you do this it will create a root folder called Public Folder. You can generate a direct public link to anything you place here by right clicking on the file and clicking "get link" and then choose the first option, "direct link." Again I have only been able to do this over the web interface, for me there is no "get link" option when right clicking the file in Finder or Windows Explorer. Note that anytime someone accesses these direct public links this bandwidth goes towards your monthly link traffic bandwidth quota.

Question: If one uses pcloud crypto to secure ones files so that pcloud can't view everything, you CAN NOT create links to share those files then? Correct? If so pcloud is worthless to me. I very much need to be able to easily share files & folders. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks

Great video to help me understand pCloud, which was recommended by a business associate. Question: Is one able to sync individual files as well. For example, I am a photographer and designer -- Would be great to sync my active and past project files -- I use Affinity Designer and that would be awesome, as it would give me immense flexibility if a computer crashes or for on the go. As far as I can tell you can only add folders. But you could add your Affinity Photo projects folder to the syncing stack and there you go.

@@Cloudwards So...this would also carry folders within a folder? Example: many video editing software create folders within the project folder to keep the project organized and probably make things work faster -- Final Cut Pro is a best example. Thanks for the reply.

Does the lifetime storage limit increase over time? I mean, 5 years ago a lifetime subscription with a 1 TB cap would have seemed like a lot. 5 years from now, the current cap - 10 TB - may not seem so great.

It's a scam! trial version worked great but after upgrading to lifetime, sync speed became very slow.

Not a fan of pcloud. I find the sync client to be confusing. The call it backup but actually sync and backup are the same. Erase one file by misstake and the client will erase it as well. Thats no backup. Also the zero knowledge encryption. You can move files inside and use the drive, but you can't sync folders using the zero knowledge. Last but not least: I don't trust lifetime plans. The can (and already have) cancel it any time and your money and files are gone.

Hmmm .... I watched the whole video Mauricio hoping that it would be a tutorial that helped me to get started with PCloud but unfortunately I think you assumed too much prior knowledge of the platform for it to be useful for me. I would really like to see a step by step tutorial video rather than a deep dive like this.

Yes. It will not downscale your videos. Just when you stream it’s not full quality.

@@Cloudwards HOW about Google drive, is the video resolution keep intact? because as i try to back up in Gdrive as I played the videos that i backed up, the max resolution is 360 pixel even I recorded it to high res on my phone 720pi or 1080 as far as i know.

Thanks for your detailed reviews Mauricio. I found out about pCloud thru your site and I bought the 2TB lifetime plan same day (just 3 days ago) and didn't regret it. Got it at the BF rate of 245usd and further got a 10% discount on my credit card. :)

My second query is: Photos and Videos should always be in a crypto folder or we can still keep it outside crypto and make sure it's privacy doesn't compromised? Because I saw some posts on Reddit where someone had marriage photos and his account was immediately suspended because pCloud hash-check made some inference that he was using some Child Porn or Terrorism kind of thing which might be true or might not be true.

The problem with pCloud is that when you put files into pCloud Crypto, you then can no longer sync the files to your local hard drive.

You are really pushing pCloud now. What happened to Sync? Why not do a Deep Dive for Mega which is my personal favorite to be honest. I am bias because I have the 50 free gb for life as I signed up with them years ago but that service is best in my opinion as it has zero knowledge encryption at no additional cost.

I have 50GB free MEGA too but it's not a big deal with "small" GBs of a cloud service. I think he was concentrating to lifetime plan of those clouds which are the best options for customers

If pCloud was so secure then why does it have a cookie warning banner and a policy on "why they track you"? Also, offering logins via social account like FB or Google or Apple or Twatter doesn't understand the word secure. I have a good guess whose analytics they use... Don't listen to this clown he's PAID to hype lies.
