Setup and Configure pCloud - A complete guide

Using pCloud as an alternative, or addition, to OneDrive is definitely possible. In this tutorial I walk through the following steps.
* Creation of pCloud account
* Download and Install of pCloud Drive software
* Configuring the Backup process
* Configuring the Sync process
* Options on using either of those for different configurations
* Discussion on other pCloud options
* Showing the sync process and moving folders/files around
* Unlink OneDrive if necessary
What I am demonstrating here is that you can successfully use pCloud as a very useful and viable Cloud backup solution.

Good in-depth walk-through. I use pCloud, and learned a few things, thank you! *** NOTE: for those who still aren't clear, he does keep saying "Sync" when discussing the "Backup" selection (about 10:30 in the video and then onward), and then continues to use "Sync" when talking about the "Sync" selection. So confusing and inaccurate. "Backup" and "Sync" are drastically different, and is a matter of keeping all your files unchanged, or constantly adding/changing/deleting your files. *** When discussing "Backups", it means nothing will be overwritten in pCloud as you make changes in your ecosystem (phone, computer, network drives, etc.). Select Backup for that. *** Use "Sync" to keep all your files alike throughout your ecosystem (pCloud, computer, network drives, etc). Synching happens by adding/deleting/changing files as they are done on your phone.computer. pCloud will follow along and make those changes too. So using "Sync" means that picture from your vacation last year is gone forever if you use "Synch" and then delete it from your phone if pCloud is set to "Synch". It would have been there forever if you used "Backup". Unfortunately, he kept saying "Synch" when discussing "Backup". Selecting "Backup" vs "Synch" could be a life, or career-altering decision. So be VERY CLEAR what you are looking to accomplish.

Thanks for such a detailed comment. I am glad you found it useful. And yes, I do agree that making sure the sync vs backup options are done correctly. I am going to go through the video and catch any of those discrepancies. Will need to compile that into a new one.

Thank you for sharing this. I am shopping for a new cloud storage system and none of the cloud services offer in-depth screenshots/demos like this. I just wanted to see a preview before I buy. Thanks!

Nice video. I would love a video explaining how to use pCloud to sync two computers. I have two macs and I want to keep a synced local folder (the same folder) across two computers.

Danke für das Video, leider gibt es sehr wenig Videos die P Cloud erklären. Alles hab ich der Sprache wegen nicht verstanden aber es hat doch sehr geholfen.

hi, what would happen if i sync google photo and pcloud mobile automatic upload. will there be a duplicate?

That kind of depends! If you are syncing data into both Google Photos and then off your phone and into pCloud then yes you will a duplicate copy of data, but they would be in different places. So the systems wouldn't know that you have a duplicate as they don't talk to each other. How do i keep my pcloud open or enable? every time i turn off my computer and turn it on keeps asking me for the password and its getting annoying:/

Hi Jason. From all the implementations I have done for pCloud, the login always sticks and doesn't ask each time. I would suggest that you make sure that the pCloud EXE you have is the latest one from the pCloud website. If it is continuously dropping the login details then definitely log a support call with them, however I would be very interested in the outcome so please update us on how you get on.
