Hi Natalie! Do you have any tips for us thin girls with pcos? I wanted to know if exercising is also as good for underweight women. i’ve been doing strength exercises, not much cardio and trying to gain muscle mass for a few months now. A workout does make me feel better, but gaining weight has still been quite hard… Thank you so much for all your help, I’ve learnt more info from you than all my doctors combined!

Natalie thank you so much for your videos! They are incredibly helpful! What’s another imbalance if you don’t think you have PCOS but weight gain in the tummy. I have regular periods which I know you mentioned that might still mean PCOS. I am currently on berberine and myo-inositol. Are there other things I can do to improve insulin resistance? I also have hypothyroidism and high prolactin.

Hey thank you so much for this video. I have never been diagnosed but I have facial hair and extremely irregular periods. My endocrinologist is hesitant to diagnose me because my labs are perfectly fine. I was very scared of having PCOS because I thought it meant infertility period. But now I realize it doesnt have to be that way. Thank you 🥺🥺

If I only ovulate one every 3-6 months, would that effect the egg quality? I can’t imagine an egg that’s been slowly growing on/off for 6 months is of the same quality that grew consistently for 14 days.

Thank you so much for what you share. Please could you explain more about spotting before your period. I always spot between 2-6 days before my period. When my period arrives it only lasts 1-2 days and is light and not always a deep red (more pink). I’ve read so many books and approached the NHS with no luck. I’m desperate to fix my cycle, as I’ve been TTC for nearly 5 years 🙏.

Less carbs, more fats. Carbs = sugar (after digestion) Sugar = elevated blood sugar. Elevated blood sugar = source of all PCOS symptoms. If you eat less than 20g carbs/day, you will reverse PCOS in about a year. Unfortunately, this is almost impossible to accomplish while eating mostly plants because most plants are moderate or high carb, and low fat. And, this isn't a personal judgment or anything. It's just the way human biology works. 😕

Hi Dr Thank you so much for your informative videos. I was told when I was PCOS when i was in my 20s. left ovary measures 20ml in volume. right ovary only 4ml. i was ovulating from the left ovary when the US scan was done so im not sure if this contributes to the higher volume size of the left ovary. i have been TTC for 3months but no luck. I am 33yrs old. should I see a specialist or try for a bit longer. also, can you get a positive OPK result but not ovulate? i.e. ovary doesn't release an egg despite LH surge? thanks

Hello from Bulgaria ❤ Thank you for the valuable information you are providing for us! I have PCOS since I was in my teen years. My period was never regular( almost absent) and I have acne. Apart from that I’ve never had other issues with my weight, abnormal hair growth… I was on the pill for almost 10 years with some periods of a break. When I’m on the pill I feel great and I don’t have any skin problems. Currently I’m still breastfeeding my second child ( luckily I had no trouble getting pregnant and carry my both of my children) but I want to know what else can I take or do to suppress those PCOS symptoms and enhance my chances for another baby? Thank you again❤

Do you feel the different PCOS types respond differently to IVF? For example, I have PCO and irregular periods but no elevated hormones. You can meet the 2/3 Rotterdam criteria 4 different ways so what difference, if any, do the subtypes make for IVF? Should different protocols be used for different types?

Been diagnosed with PCOS after being on the depo shot for several years and then the progesterone only pill for about a year and a half . I have since been off hormonal birth control for a little over a year and just now finally got any kind of bleed at all. I would really love to stay off of hormonal birth control if possible since it has seemingly only affected my body negatively, but it seems like thats the most commonly recommended treatment for PCOS. I was wondering what advice you have for women that are trying to manage pcos and hormone levels without using hormonal birth control?

This is our first pregnancy, and we are worried about her elevated TSH levels. She was prescribed Thyroxine 25 mcg/day. Is this the right dosage? In case you need a response, I’m not a doctor. Just a fellow (31 yo) woman with PCOS. my periods disappeared for a whole year, weight gain, facial hair, oily skin, infertility, the whole 9 yards. I started taking berberine, inositol, and chromium supplements and my fertility improved dramatically. Please do not put off improving your health. It’s crazy to me that a DOCTOR would insist on ignoring the problem until you’re “ready.” It’s only going to get harder to resolve the problem the longer you wait.

Could you talk more about lean PCOS? I feel like there is little to no information about lean PCOS out there. As well as conception and early pregnancy signs with someone with PCOS, and tips to promote implantation and prevent miscarriages during the first few weeks. 😊 Also one last question, can PCOS lead to false positive pregnancy tests? After I got married I got off of birth control and then suddenly found I was having irregular periods, and was diagnosed with PCOS. However, everything I look up states insulin resistance and weight gain are big factors in this, but I’m quite the opposite, it’s actually very hard for me to gain weight. I’m 25, 5’5 and 109 lbs. I currently feel like I may have some early pregnancy symptoms, I don’t know when I ovulated and my last period started 3/9/24, and have taken a few tests now and all of them look like they may have a faint line but can’t tell if it’s an evaporation line or faint positive. I want to do everything I can if it is positive and developing to not lose it. Please help!! 🤍🙏

I have PCOS, my levels are in the normal ranges, just recently found out I have a blocked left fallopian tube. Have yet to get pregnant at all, even with letrozole. I'm almost 41. Should we be concerned and start IUI or IVF?
@Hertz2laugh
@Hertz2laugh 6 ай бұрын
You should be maximally concerned. You're rapidly approaching the end of your fertility window. Fastest way to reverse PCOS is to keep your blood sugar levels normal and steady. Anything that accomplishes that will treat PCOS. In my opinion, the best way to keep your blood sugar levels normal and healthy in order to reverse PCOS is to limit your carbohydrate intake to less than 20g/day. Doing so basically puts your blood sugar control on autopilot. ✅ *Eat these foods - no limit* ✅ • Meat (unprocessed) 🍖🍗🥩🥓 • Sea food (unprocessed) 🐟🦀🦞🦐 • Eggs 🥚🍳 • Butter/Ghee 🧈 • Salt 🧂 • Water 💧 ⚠️ *Eat only very, very small portions of these foods:* ⚠️ • Dark green vegetables 🥦🥬🥒🧄 • Milk, cream, yogurt 🥛 ❌ *Do not eat these foods:* ❌ • Bread, rice, grains, noodles 🍞🥖🍚🍜 • Candies, sweets, sugary drinks, alcohol 🍭🧃🍺 • Sweet vegetables 🥕🥔🌽🫑 • Fruits, fruit juice, honey 🍇🍌🍓🍯 • Seeds, nuts, beans 🫒🥜 📌 All your PCOS symptoms will be gone in about one year *_if you keep your daily carbs/sugar below 20g._* You will likely be able to become pregnant within three to six months, though. Also, you will lose about 6lbs/month until you reach your genetically determined ideal size. I am happy to explain more, answer questions, address concerns, or help make a custom meal plan. Peace and love. Peace and love.

Fast forward to now, where I just got married and am almost 30. Is there a good chance of getting pregnant naturally? I’m scheduled to start seeing a new OB in March but I’m trying to understand how severe the diagnosis is. 🧐🧐😆

Genuine question, if you're not pregnant, why wouod you see an OB? Or do you just mean tegular OB Gyne? (I'm in Canada, so we might have different procedures). I just got diagnosed with PCOS, but im not surprised, and we didnt start trying until age 33, not knowing our problems were going to be this bad three years later. A lot of people say to wait a year, then go see a professional. Best of luck :) ❤

@jacqimcgarry4073 in our case, we got the diagnosis from a fertility clinic - we're going along, and we've started the very slow adoption process, because we know, we may never biologically have children, and that's okay (there were definitely some tears though, before we decided to go in for testing). I can only speak to my own experience, but we had a lot going on in life, and then we realized we'd been trying for two years - we said we'd give it one more, and then go in. You can only work with what you have in the moment, do you best, and hope for the best 🩷 we met at 30, started trying at 33, and I'm 36 now, I would say, it never hurts to ask 😊

I have PCOS. When I was younger I was able to get pregnant. Now that I'm older I can still get pregnant, but I keep having miscarriages. In the last year, I have had two missed miscarriages with babies that had heart beats and a chemical pregnancy. I have been tracking my BBT, and I have noticed in both pregnancies, I started out with great doubling HCG and high progesterone levels. Again, ultrasound is confirming pregnancy with a heartbeat. Shortly after, I noticed my BBT drops by half, and then fetal development stopped. Is this an issue of luteal phase defect? What should I do? I'm heartbroken 💔

@Hertz2laugh

No. PCOS sevarity is mostly determined by blood sugar levels. The longer you have high blood sugar levels, the more severe your PCOS will be no matter how old you are. The longer your blood sugar levels remain normal and steady, the more PCOS symptoms will reverse. If you keep your blood sugar levels normal and steady by eating less than 20g carbohydrates/day, all your PCOS symptoms will be gone in about a year.
