Күн бұрынI've been quite busy with other things over the last few weeks, but I'm back to working on Jugglebot again now!
This is a very exciting update, as I've finally figured out a workable solution for Jugglebot's "Hand".
This video covers how (and why) I moved from the old hand design to this one, issues I encountered while designing this mechanism, possible/probable future improvements, as well as what the next steps are for the project as a whole.

Even though it is 9 months old. Have you tried to actually braid the strings together? That should lock them pretty much together. And with the adjuster blocks you mentioned at the end the braided strings should be good.

I swear I replied to this message a little while ago? Either way: I actually did braid the strings together after carefully lining them all up correctly, and that was rather tedious to do. It was quite tricky to get the lengths perfect while braiding and even a tiny difference in one length would tilt the "cup" of the hand by an appreciable amount. My current solution is a new tensioning mechanism that deals with each string individually and allows me to modify their lengths extremely precisely, which I much prefer over having all the strings bound together. It's called "Concepts". I really like it and it's the only note-taking/drawing app I use now 😊
